I whole heartedly agree with you and there are a series of words which are ridiculous that we cant use like the word "skill' as it has kill in it ......is a wargame for goodness sake we are killing troups  How can you write to someone about the skills they possess or not because you cant use the word .........

Also we cant use grapes as it has the word rape in it ....these restrictions are ridiculous as it if you accidently put in a full stop it tells you that it isnt sexually appropriate language.................... honestly people get a grip!!

their filters really suck, but we just got to deal with it

they dont filter out just swear words, they just give the same warning, for swearing, words they deem inappropriate, URLs, and a bunch of other random things

I find idiom a word some people would find hurtful and offensive, but others usually just deal with it. I don't see why peple would want to use the word grape anyway but, for the word 'kill', I just write 'ki//'. It's not a big bother for me.

To those of you who are of a younger age (well younger than I, at any rate) the word "idiot" may not seem like an offensive term. However, in days gone past this was a swear word. In comparison with some of the terminology used these days, though, it has become almost obsolete in its meaning and impact. Even the word "buggar" has lost its origins and in its modern sense is used as a light-hearted, almost meaningless profanity. And indeed, it is even spelled differently - often as "buggah" or "bugga." Same word. Different spelling. Same origins. Different usage.
If you want to find words other than the ones you cannot use in the messaging, I suggest you utilise a thesaurus.
Another word for "skill" is "ability." The English language has many words with similar meaning. Or put a fullstop in the middle of the word - such as gr.ape - that might help.

Or you can use numbers to replace alphabetical similarities - the number 1 can be used as an the letter l, or i. The number 2 can be used as z. The number 3 an e, and so on.

I don't know how old Midnight is but I'm 50 in December and as far as I can remember the word 'idiot' has never been a swear word in the UK. As for a thesaurus? Seeing he's on the AU1 server I assume that's Australia, I didn't know they had words like thesaurus in the Australian version of our language. haha ¦¬ D
