Hi community
This is directed at GGE
Ok GGE, you need to stop battering us with WOTR as often as you do. Its frankly very boring, and every time it appears most of my team sigh out of boredom.
Wotr means one thing...defence recruitment
This is a war game, people are having to plan wars around this event.....not good
soooo many times we have been organising an attack or war and then this thing appears and usually postpones or sometimes prevents it
and lets face it that's what this game is about , not battleing make believe AI pretending to be real people
If a team wants to properly attack another, they need to raise multiple attacks, that is very difficult during WOTR due to repeated need for defenders. So the option becomes wait until its over (and maybe lose enthusiasm for that battle) or put together what you can with what recruitment slots you have available
I have a busy life and I don't have time to revolve my life around the game, I want to be able to plan offensives or wars, and initiate, not wait while we have to deal with pointless make believe attacks. Seriously guys you are ruining the game with this, which is a shame as many of the recent changes added have been quite good, but they are in effect pointless due to WOTR getting in the way.
The only players who like it are kids who don't buy ruby anyway, most adults I have spoken to cant stand it, and they after all are your main revenue stream...I would listen to what I say here, as if you don't you will lose (and are already losing) players, not out of anger or protest, but boredom, and frustration.
1- you dont have time to handle WOTR, which sends 1 attack per castle at most, some people dont get hit... but you want to get into a real war with real people who can attack however often they want, and on whatever schedule? not just this 1 time every other week thing?Emporer Hagi (GB1) said:I have a busy life and I don't have time to revolve my life around the game, I want to be able to plan offensives or wars, and initiate, not wait while we have to deal with pointless make believe attacks. 2- just because the small selection of adults you asked dont like it does not mean everyone doesnt. GGE has millions of people across its servers, so they need a REALLY large statement of some kind to show that a large crowd REALLY doesnt like it, they need more then the occasional thread saying "our small group doesnt like it, change it for us no matter what the masses say"
yes, its likely a large group doesnt like it, but most people are able to stand it, tolerate it. this is all GGE needs. unless people are speaking out often, en mass, with a force of some kind, GGE wont do anything

Seriously mate, im in a lv50, 52 member alliance in the top 20 of the UK server, ive been in plenty big wars..i think you misunderstand my point, its actually the recruiting of defenders that WOTR causes, I have wars I wish to fight but because this stupid event happens every other week it gets in the way...pretty simple really,
and I know many people on the UK server...most in fact that cant stand WOTR, its just a tool cleaner with a few bells and whistles on it
of course I could spend more ruby on recruit slots....but that is kind of why the event takes place, its fairly clear its just a money generator
for the rubie players so they can grow faster and faster, so the distance between them en the rest grows bigger an bigger without war.
and yes, it is getting boring everytime the same with a different name.
I was about to start my own topic, but stumbled across this topic.
Please add an option to exclude playing Foreigner Event, make it player choice - even with receiving the rewards or not. I can't continue playing this game if I'm forced to participate in events that can cause mayhem which will end up on your "support" plate (eg: free soldiers cause desertion without being the fault of the player, and you cant leave the game for a day or two without asking some else to login for you to defend)
In short, GGS forces us to break the rules, and take away any control we have over our own game. Or are you gonna force us to buy doves (which wont help of course, free soldiers causes big time problems)?
Time to rethink this event, and make it user friendly.
If WOTR would stop being weekly the glory hunters will look elsewere, they will look for you. After that, you will all ask for it to come back.
also we would like the possibility to have the Defender of the Realm decoration (maybe forgeiners should have a shop?)
theres gonna be a few dnas going around, smaller alliances picked on for glory, vampire empire (GB1) said:don't worry Alliance Tournament is around the corner. You can expect monsters at your castle doorstep without having a war.
You mean a THIRD nomad event?KronikPillow (INT2) said:i actually think that all the events happen to frequent, instead on making them every 4 days they should make them every 2 weeks and leave time for real attacks and some real action like the game used to be, you turned it in to event playing and spaming of same equipment ...

Um way wrong.
WotR isn't fun, the rewards are pretty poor compared to nomads (cept for the 700 horrors and the equip, though rarely does a non-buyer like me get the equip).
I'd rather play nomads.
this is a player v player game, this is what it should be like...merlinx (GB1) said:Stop being selfish and think outside your own point of view.WOTR means glory,if you have much glory you get a lot of rewards, better troops, powerpoints etc.
