The reason would be that you are using gems or heros or equipment that gives you an allowance for extra troups on your flanks............ try removing gems/hero or the equipment which gives extra troups on the flank and use a commander which doesnt contain any of these.

I am using none of the above and still have the issue. Even when I decrease the troops same issue. Change commander...same issue.

The people in charge know this is a bug in reality and are working on it.

Well can you tell me why my foregins are lvl 20-36 and when i hit button attack, it goes to lvl 50. if i spy them it says there isnt no moat and when i start placing my troops there and move my cursor to wall it says that there is a moat.

I have tried changing commander to one with no such equipment, but still have the same problem. I am being attacked by foreign castles, but can not hit back. Not happy!!

We need to have everyone refuse to participate in the foreign lord event until they fix it for good and make it an option to participate, like in Berimond, SI, Blade Coast, Underground, etc. This is just their way of destroying us and making us week after years of playing this game.
I am about ready to call it quits.
