Topic: [289914] So I captured a castle, now what?

Since I'm very new at this game, I'm not sure what to do next with the castle I captured. I was trying to capture it under the "make an outpost" instruction. I see the counter counting down but am not sure what to do next. The castle still has the old flag colours. I'm not sure how to make it mine. Please advise. Many thanks.

it sounds like your capturing another players outpost. if so, this is generally advised against. its 100% allowed in the game, but people have their own little rules that they play by, and 1 of them is taking another players outpost means war, so be careful about taking pre-owned ones

you must occupy the castle for 24 hours (assuming your capture attack won). after the 24 hours, you get the OP for good. however, if anyone attacks the OP, and kills all your men in it before the 24 hours is up, you lose the capture and must try again
