the game is giving me quests to go and attack people and loot castles, but when I do this people say I'm not supposed to be doing this to them, is there a specific way to do this without making everyone get mad and attack me? how am I supposed to play the game if no one lets me?

There are rules around, that most players follow.
Just check the alliance description of the person your attacking before you hit. that should tell you want you to want to know.

Well, the players have come up with these rules themselves, as sort of an "honor code" But in the end the game doesn't care. But you'll get a lot of people angry which is not a good idea.

players make up their own rules called "fairplay" rules, and they say things like dont attack outposts, dont attack anyone 10levels or more lower then you, dont attack people burning already, that kind of thing. its designed to make the game easier, but it gets confusing for new guys who dont know about them
