I think that maybe make a non-buyer event of some sort where it registers if you have EVER bought rubies and if you have you can't participate. I'm saying like a glory competition because for lower level non-buyers it get's really boring not winning any events. or make an event that prevents people from buying any rubies yes there r ruby whals who have 100k+ rubies but just make a way so rubies can't be used or something.

i know many non buyers who have done very well. just the other day i saw a thread about a guy who said he never bought rubies. he had almost 4 mil coins, somewhere close to 30K rubies (just from farming them!), and 150K power points. for those who put in the time and effort needed, its possible to win things, just harderflashturbo (IN1) said:Hey guys! castellans are given per castle you own automatically, or gained by the estate. when you start the game, you automatically gain 1 for your main castle. at levels 13,19, and 31 you can build or upgrade the estate. each time you upgrade the estate, it gets 1 more castellan. the 3 castellans from the estate are used for OP capturing. after the estate is built or upgraded you have 1 more castellan, that you use to send a capture attack at an OP you wish to ownvipant (US1) said:How do I get a casstillian?
when you enter a new kingdom, such as ice, sands, or storm islands, you automatically gain 1 more castellan for that area. when you go to the equipment area, on the very left there is a commander helmet and under that is a crown. click the crown and you can see/equip your castellans
that would be a little unfair, because if i buy 1$ of rubies at the very start of the game, then 3 years later im still not able to do those contests just because of that 1 purchase. its really hard to try and separate contests based on rubies because of so many circumstances. 2 people buy rubies weekly... but 1 of them buys 5$ weekly, the other buys 200$ weekly. or what if 2 people both buy 500$ of rubies? but 1 guy does that every week, and another guy does that every other month? no matter how you divide to sub categories, there will always be people with more of an advantage then someone else. and so if thats true, why not keep it the way it is now?Coolking4716 (US1) said:I think that maybe make a non-buyer event of some sort where it registers if you have EVER bought rubies and if you have you can't participate. and even if you found a way to block rubies from being used directly, it does not block the other things. ruby whales can buy skip times and use those to hurry things along instead of rubies. they can buy better tools, they have great commanders. they have high PO, great soldiers, high production, and often legendary bonus's like 5-6 waves, maybe a solider strength boost. you may be able to take away rubies, but at the end of the day, EVERYTHING in the game gives ruby buyers an advantage, so it would be impossible to allow ruby buyers to play, but keep every advantage they have away. you either need to let ruby buyers play or not, and like i said, if i buy 1$ of rubies, im a ruby buyer and will be punished for it years later.

Wrong. Just bc something is legendary instead of epic or even rare doesn't make it "better".
It's a waste to build a commander like that...

like pallu just showed, ruby players get WAY better deco. most players that fill their castles with deco, i typically see 40-60 items the size of a garden/festival square/park/anything else that sizedarkmaster (GB1) said:Since when did you need to have rubies to have a high PO or production
so the low end is (40 PO items) x (70 PO more for ruby deco), which is a bonus 2800 PO points. high end, thats 4200 points. a non ruby player may have fairly high PO if they put a crap ton of gardens in their castles, but ruby players always have more. by comparison, the non ruby player has low PO. it may seem high to non ruby players, but when you consider how much you can actually have, its not that great
and the higher the PO, the higher the production. not to mention ruby players can buy overseers to boost production of almost everything, making their production even higher
non ruby players can do well, but when you compare what they have, to what the max possible is, they are actually doing pretty bad. its good considering they dont buy rubies, but its bad by comparison to the max potential.

There are two possible costs to strength in this game.
1. Money, I need not say more.
2. Time, If you put in a lot of time winning solo events to get good gear and tools its possible to play fairly well. But you need a lot of time.

a resource player is missing 70/200 PO, or 35/100, or basically 35%, a little over 1/3rd, meaning they can only get around 65% of the max PO. thats way worse then the full amount
its only a moderate amount of PO that resource players get, the ruby players get way more. it may seem high for non buyers, but compare their PO to how much people can actually have at the max (limitless), and resource players get almost none.
the way your thinking of PO is by comparison, saying "yeah look at that gjuy he has lots of gardens, and that other guy has barely any". well yes, compared to the guy with little deco, the first guy has lots. but compared to a ruby whale with a castle like this?

https://gyazo.com/e769906cf116432fa30f49e5aa3be09b
i believe the smallest PO item in there is 195. some go above 400. now tell me, by comparison, who has high PO and who has little? your resource player with lots of gardens, or this person who probably has like 20K PO
