Topic: [299047] Does "Focus looting on" actually do anything.

So I'm sure a lot of you will have experienced this. You're low on a specific type of resource find somewhere to get it from and use the "Focus looting on" menu to make sure you get lots of that resource. And quite a few times it seems to work.
But then there are those unexplainable times when its almost like you didn't use the menu at all.
Heres one where the castle originally had 81k of wood/stone/food and I was low on food so I used focus looting on food.
This is the result.

Not even going to discuss those abysmal foreigners where you use focus on food and they return with 22k of wood -.-
So why does this feature cease to work some of the time? Anybody?

I say thank your lucky stars that you got over 93k of loot from one attack. I really didn't think that was possible. And under 2k of coins? Just doesn't seem right, judging by all the battle reports I have seen over the past 2 years.
That said, I too wonder about the "focus looting on." There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to when it works and when it doesn't. I have completely given up focusing on any of the legendary resources. Mostly I focus on food these days because I am usually seriously over-trooped. But I would really like to be able to focus on iron ore and actually get a decent amount, especially from the foreigners. Most of the times I have focused on iron ore I haven't even gotten any back from them. Occasionally, a hundred or so. It really does seem quite random.

The 'Focus looting on' never works for me so I don't bother using it

I find it only works on other players, rather than on NPCs.

Focusing works just fine, if by working you mean focusing on which rss not to loot lol
In actuality focusing does work on other players. In you example you had much more loot space than there was rss available at the target, hence getting even amounts of everything. You can only loot a certain % of a persons inventory as well unless they open gate or you use loot gear/hero. If you could only carry say 30k rss and you targeted a caslte full of everything you would only loot 30k of what yo ufocused on.
Focusing does not work at all on NPC stuff(or fc's, cities) not sure if its supposed to, NPC's have a fairly set amount of everything you can loot, just varies from hit to hit. Again this can be increased by loot armor and heroes.

send 1 spearmen on a level 1 RBC, you'll only loot his looting capacity of that resource
however if you wipe out all of a RBC's resources, you'll just get all of what it has, regardless of focus looting.
it's been asked over and over again on the EN1 forums, the veteran players know that it does work

Found putting 'Focus loot on' while attacking players worked but it didn't work for any npc maybe the tiniest bit like an extra 1k.

I Agree on the comment it works as in to guarantee which loot you wont get!!!
For example if i am sending hits out for food, i will never ever check the food choice as doing that will guarantee I come back with next to no food!!! Any other box and magically food appears!
Not really sure who's sick idea that was but its happened to me WAY too many times to be co-insedence

if the report was from a member of your alliance who forwarded it,the number of troops that went to the hospital would be in a grey box, not a gold one.Klingon (RO1) said:Reports can be forwarded !
