The event is imbalanced.
Ore is only usable and obtainable for lvl 70's. If you are a low level you will go broke. I'm hitting as many towers in Sands and EWG as I can just to hold of the staggering cost of this event in terms of coins. There aren't enough tool slots as you are forced to use ruby tools and spend money even with a good commander which i have a decent one. The troop cost without the use of auxiliaries which are cheaper and expendable is too high. The time and resources required to obtain all the rewards on one side is very staggering even to us that play most of the day. I would be hard pressed to obtain them all without going broke in coins or ponying up and buying rubies. Reward the top 100 as the top 20 is a joke thus ensuring only ruby buyers have a shot thus not getting buy in from everyone. If you are not resetting the points each event I find it acceptable to make the rewards on one side that hard to obtain, however make them better. If you intend to have a heavy troop loss compensate in rewards with 3/4ths replacement troops. In other events you do this well with regular Berimond "Having Auxillaries" and in the Sumarai with sheer troop rewards. If the cost is steep the reward has to be worth it. In every way in this event the reward is not worth it. You removed my goal which was the PO rewards. My goal was to obtain the PO rewards each time and this event has none.
To summarize if you are not resetting points and rep then the rewards need to be obtainable and worth it without buying rubies, however the time cost should be pretty high. I always looked at rubies as a shortcut to time, however in this event you have broken the game and the time cost is staggering with ruby cost being really high. If this is going to be an event for the rich then you need to make the rewards a little higher tiered to drag in other people although this message will not be well received to your player base. The coins are based off FL's and the resources required via troops, coins, time spent making tools is so imbalanced you are forced to buy rubies for mediocre rewards. Your rewards at the top 20 individual are accurate, but you get not a lot on your way there. You basically are targeting ruby buyers with your release which is why you are getting so much flak in the forums.
If you can't see this yourself and we have to explain game balance to you we are worse off than I thought. If you are just asking our perception to compliment your balance then hopefully I've confirmed what you are thinking. Whomever designed this obviously had sales in goal and not the stability or longevity of the game. The health of the community was also not thought of.
