@CM Arcanine

Seems to be a massive breakdown lately with GGE bringing out changes, faults in the game and then feedback from us the vcommunity or playing group.  Us sitting back going wow, what were they thinking and then getting told that these changes are happening and will go ahead when we raise concens all the same (reduction in coins in nomds etc).  All along the line that is given to us is "constructive feedback" etc asking us to provide information to you regarding shortcommings or faults with the changes that are occuring.

Steve, you have a horid job dealing with some of the posts on here, however having said that when I have seen this "constructive feedback" posted here I havent seen anything in return from GGE's perspective.  So many times insightful posts are left without a response where you are given a breakdown of what a problem is and the explantion of that problem.

You can pass it along and tell us your doing that however with the ice event lots of events had short durations to "mix it up" or to "provide variation" in the ice event.

Now we have a 3 day nomads and its because "GGE is trialing new event formats" or something along those lines.  Straight up, you had feedback already, we had to put up with a 5-6 day berri and a server favourite nomads is then put in a 2-3 day timeslot.

I cant be alone where I feel compleatly invalidated by the 100 % lack of feedback from GGE's perspective and the continued excusses for brushing aside valid points being made by the community with new excusses.

I'm asking that you pass this on.  I wont be purchasing rubys for 30 days regardless of what changes are made from GGE's perspective.  I will continue to provide feedback here on events and participating in the game however wont spend a single cent on the game as a personal protest to what is occuring here on these forums and in game.

In 30 days I will re-evaluate my position, not based on changes to the events, but based on communication on these forums.  Ill give you a heads up this is what im looking for:

* GGE's ability to pass on specific operational details of changes to the game dynamic with updates that are occuring.
* Respond constructively to these "constructive posts" by members whom invest the time to give you the feedback that your requesting.

I'm not asking that I dictate the changes that occur, that is still your job.  I'm asking that the investment we put in when posting here, the investment that many people make when putting cash into the game isn't fobbed off.  Until I see a change in the way that GGE communicates with us as consumers I am not spending on the game.

I cant control what others do, so this is an individual thing.  However if anyone else has a problem with not being listened to, not having tickets answered properly when you submit them, I invite you to join in if you feel its appropriate.

@CM Arcanine

I'll update you at the end of the month on if you have improved your customer service and communication enough to earn my continued buisness.  That is what this game is, as I wouldn't spend money with a supplier who treated me like this at work, I wont spend cash on this game any more until you lift your standards.

Regards,

JJ.

Hey @JJJJJJSK (AU1) ,

Cheers for taking the time to write this.

Let me start by saying although that I do say it a lot, my comments about "constructive feedback" are pretty much to keep the thought in everyone's heads. It's easy, and somewhat common, for people to react quite vocally without any real substance, and although I do appreciate any feedback at all, keeping it constructive gives me (and as an extension, the development team) way more to work with.

It might seem like some things don't change, but I assure you there are a lot of changes that we've made over time due to community feedback. They might not appear instantly, since it's a long process. Ideas go to the team from my end/the other community managers, they'll look at what the community opinion is and then compare that to the in-game data (how features are used, what the overall reaction is from players that don't send tickets or comment on the forums). It's here that the development team then get their input, figuring out what is technically possible, how things should be balanced, where features/changes fit into our development plan and so on.

As much as I'd love to, I can't always tell you what has been confirmed to be added/changed. Since things have to be deliberated, it's highly unlikely that anyone will be able to make an instant decision in the meetings we have. I try to give you as much feedback in return as I can, but it's not always possible.

I'll try to get back to your critique more often though, that's on my end. I've been super busy lately, but I'll try to take the time out to respond to the criticism once I have the information. I'd just rather not supply information that isn't concrete, or respond to various individual posts whilst it's still being deliberated or forwarded.

Thanks again for sending this my way though, I appreciate that it's something you're passionate about, but I want you to know that although there may not be any 'response' on our end regarding your suggestions and so on, it's something we're working to proactively resolve, and your opinions are still definitely being heard.

All the best,

Steve.

Steve,

Understood, valid points.  However the changes that are occuring with the reduction in coins etc are not ballanced, it has been broken down for you a few times.  The short sharp events of the ice Event have continued with the reason now being, we need feedback on these changes and are trying new things.

Stop trying new things, I said it a while ago, ill judge you not on the faults but how you fix the faults or address the faults and work towards making the game better.  I dont know how the Dev team and yourself are dealing with introducing new patches and finding the time to fix existing faults, maybe this is something on your end that should be looked at ?

Anyway, Nomads.

Used to be about 34-7k per max camp, now its at 26k for a maxxed nomads camp.  A reduction of 10k in coins.

http://prnt.sc/aa8g2d

This is a hit with 270 reso piggie banks.  To get 270 reso piggie banks that is approx 270k of wood, even at 10k of wood per hit sometimes its low sometimes its high that is 27 hits.  27 x 10k (the reduction in coin per hit on a maxxed camp) is 270k of coin.

Im getting 98k coin with all those piggie banks (98-26=72) or 72k coin for using all of those piggie banks.  All of that wood is wood that isnt donated to the alliance funds, wood that isnt sent to someone to build walls/upgrades etc etc.

The extra 27 hits would have given me 270k coin before the reductions were in place.

I'm down 200k coin to buy reso tools to keep hitting, 200k coin that I could spend at the technicus.  So many different things I could use those coins on and that wood on, im disadvantaged and my alliance is as well as the members I send my carts to who are building up no longer get that reso.

All in all, reducing the coin looted along with introducing these piggie banks directly affects my ability to support my alliance with reso donated and send reso to others because I am using it to get these piggie banks.  It also changes what I can do at the technicus as I dont have the coin that I used to have to upgrade.  It benifits those that can buy those ruby tools and the coin is less important to them.

One thing, There was a -10% for all 100% upgrades (ruby) at the tecnicus, I would love to see a -25% coin cost at the tecnicus so that reso players get those benifits as well.  Be bold, go over the top I know you can do it go for 25% Steve, the community would love it.

Simply put @CM Arcanine the changes to the coin in nomads and the demand for ruby tools doesnt work.  I will not be purchasing rubys for 30 days.  This is the same as other existing members of my alliance who cant put in rubys who wont be able to hit as much because of the coin reductions.

My alliance and team mates are also not having myself and others online because we cant hit as many camps with less coin to buy tools and we have no reason to be online as much and the community that I am involved in will get a bit weaker slowly and slowly as myself and others have no reason to be online as without spending we can't keep participating.

All in all this update just hurts the community/alliance that I play with as im less able to support them and the game is more reliant on ruby's.

If it continues down this path those bonds that we have formed and that community that we participate in, that comradery that exists between us will die.

That is the end result of this update, are you able to pass that along please Steve.

Regards,

JJ

Exactly, and well said JJ! This IS the PROBLEM right now, taking away the ability for us to support our community. Right now my advice to my group is not to participate, not to buy rubies simply for the fact that the balance of this game is heavily tilted towards GGS side, and not to the players who they need to keep this game running. Ultimately this game is running dead. Server crash Friday... ticket send immediately, no answer yet...day 6 - nothing! We are getting extremely annoyed for the lack of service who are only available office hours whilst IT such as this, having customers 24x7 require 24x7 support.

We've given tons of good and valid "constructive criticism" and obviously some changes forced down out throats impacts people's game to such an extend that the refuse to continue playing. It's like GGS make people addicted to play requiring more time to reach the same goals than before each update. Not to mention the steadily degrading of once premium equipment people paid €800,- for, and the steady increase of requirement using ruby tools rather than the resource ones. Your game designers do this for one reason - pressured to squeeze money - even from minors who don't understand value. No wonder people gets mad, because they feel robbed. This is contradiction, it advertise free game, but you get overwhelmed with buy-adds... It's not worth 100 bucks to honest, you can buy a decent game and own it for that money!

Worse of all, these bugs being over and over reported, but still no fix. The only answer we get, we know it and we are working on it, but no time limit on fixing it. If we report, we want to know a deadline. As with software, adding on a buggy environment will only worsen finding existing bugs and create new bugs. Its like losing a needle in a haystack, but instead of looking for it, more hay is simply added...

I have never seen so much constructive criticism and I hate for it to go to waste!!!!

For once this is not a thread flaming GGS but something that need to be looked at. Please do send this into all the higher up acraine things need to change. I am not trying to be rude but look take one look at a thread about the most recent updates.... I have seen 2 people that have actually enjoyed the recent updates. My old alliance didn't Like it my new alliance doesn't like it I don't like it and let's face it no one does!

Please please please start listening to the community!. I do realise not everything will happen at once and it won't all be done in one go but please tell us that something will be done to fix this. I won't know if you have missed this (Almost impossible) But the updates you guys are putting out are going to cost you more then you will make. Heaps of people I know Have gone on ruby boycotts because of this!

People have given up spending money on a game that won't listen. I have seen many GOOD suggestions that people like over the 6 months of me being back and none of them were listened to! Updates like this are killing your community and the big buyers level 70 players are still boycotting until you fix this!. Not many people are level 70 but almost all the big ruby buyers are...

Please take a look at this website: http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.goodgamestudios.com  (taken from the bio of pcsurgen) LOOK 19 reviews 3 of them are positive and well... you can see the rest...

I do not intend to hate on you guys in any way but as far as we can see... this place is going anywhere but up.
