Absolute disgrace mate, as you know have suffered it first hand and i paid immediately too, just finished it off with beri etcSome guy5 (GB1) said:The whole banning somebody for demanding their money back is really shoddy. I was in a situation a few months back where a deal comes up i open the purchase page select the package. Got distracted think the phone went off or something. Come back hit pay and didn't get what the deal offered just regular rubies... Turns out the timer expired yet the screen at the time still showed me I was getting it with the deal. There was no warning or heads up your deal expired they just took the money.
Contacted support they refused to credit what I was owed or refund the money so I took the dispute further and complained to paypal (the service used for payment) because they clearly lied on screen as to what I was getting.
And big surprise when I tell support i've done this "We've credited the missing amount please retract your complaint or else we'll ban your account"....
Shocker...
But now they have a rubie player who was purchasing £50 of rubies weekly at least and that won't be happening no more, so regardless they have now shot em selves in foot really.
not leaving it at that, whether i get anywhere is another thing but not bowing down to em no more, like with nomads beri and everything else is just happening too regular and just shows they don't care in my eyes as happens time and time again.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to shed a little more light on this, even though we don't really discuss bans and so on via the forums. Legally, the transaction is 'over' when you purchase and receive the rubies. What you intend to use the rubies on is not seen as part of the deal, so when a purchase is made, as long as you receive the intended rubies, that's the deal done.
Regarding the rewards, please check the Official Announcement I made yesterday. If you were in the Top 1 position, you can contact our Support Team and they will grant you the rewards, you will not miss out.
Regards,
Steve.

According to our laws you can undo a deal. I believe thats the case also in many other countries. And I believe paypal did right to retract according to those existing laws. GGS should simply take back the credited rubies, end of story.

Steve, does GGS know or even care about just how much damage all these "bugs" and its response to them are doing to its corporate reputation? There are tens of thousands of current and former players out there who don't have a good word to say about the company. Do management have any idea of the depth of anger, bordering on hatred, that a significant proportion of the company's customer base has for it? If not, perhaps somebody should tell them...

Of course, Dave, and we're trying our best to get all of these problems resolved as fast as we can. I know that we tend to have a fair amount of bugs in each update, but the majority of them only occur when we switch to a live environment, making them almost impossible to detect during QA testing.
We're doing our best to ensure that we focus on the quality of our updates, and your voices are definitely heard.

Steve, the technical side of things is one thing. The appalling way GGS has managed things since the Nomads fiasco, for which I for one am still awaiting the promised compensation, is quite another.
GGS company policy seems to be just to ignore any legitimate complaints and keep rolling out events in the blind faith that they will sell rubies. Eventually that's going to erode the player base to such an extent as to actively threaten the financial health of the company. I personally would never recommend anyone to play any of GGS's games and suspect that a high proportion of Empire players feel the same.
Nobody here blames you for the company's attitude but perhaps you might consider informing those higher up of the growing dissatisfaction of a significant proportion of the company's revenue stream. As that's all we seem to be rather than customers.

Why not deploying a Beta server where users play for half price to test new stuff that runs 2 weeks ahead of the production environment such as InnoGames? Thats where the real problems gets detected and fixed before the actual release... It bothers me that you mentioned that you have bugs in each update, and that is a big concern to us allCM Arcanine said:@DaveHero0 (GB1)

@DaveHero0 (GB1) We're trying to provide more content to keep you guys engaged and keep the game interesting. That being said, I'll forward all of your concerns and feedback on for you, it's a valid complaint and concern
@pcsurgeon (NL1)" It's something that we could consider, but since we haven't done it from the very beginning of the game, there may be difficulties in setting one up. I'll talk to the team though and see what we can do.

Steve.

Steve, while the wish to add more content is laudable I think that a significant proportion of players may prefer a period of stability during which GGS sorts out as many bugs in the game as possible. Speaking for myself I would take that as a sign the company was listening to its customers.
