Topic: [304717] The Price Of Horror Units And Tools In Wood Food, Stone And Coins.

[-304717] Jeffery~West (US1) [None] :: March 30, 2016, 7:53 p.m.
If you want to skip all the working and go right to the prices, scroll down to the herald. I cant confirm any of this of bieing correct, but I gave it a good crack.

Ok lets get this going, here is a list of what I get at my travelling merchant.

Now fair warning the maths im about to do is extremely advanced, if you did not get over 90% in your maths gsce you will not understand this. Heres how it works:
e.g.  30,000 wood for 6,750
30000 (wood)
------- =  4.44444444444
6,750 (rubies)
So now we know that for this deal the trader offers us. 4.44444444444 wood is equal to 1 ruby, and just to check,
4.44444444444*6750=30000

I have done the working out for all of them and here are the results.

 1 ruby =  4.44444444444 wood

1 ruby = 4.20875420875 wood

1 ruby = 4 wood

1 ruby = 5.05050505051 stone

1 ruby = 4.77099236641 stone

  1 ruby =  4.54545454545 stone

1 ruby = 6.17283950617 food

1 ruby = 5.84112149533 food

1 ruby = 5.55555555556 food

1 ruby = 10.685483871 coins

1 ruby = 10.101010101 coins

1 ruby = 9.54198473282 coins

Interesting things to note here, is that coins and food are valued much less then wood and stone, this is strange since we rely on coins/food so much more.
Anyway the reason I showed you all this is because we need to find a universal value for each resource, now either: the more you buy the higher the discount, or the less you buy the more it costs. Now it must be the more you buy the higher the discount because when do you ever go to Tescos/Walmart and buy less of something but pay more? NEVER
I understand different levels can get different amounts from the trader, but I do not have acess to that, however I know that at the lowest level (6) here is what you can get:

1 ruby = 3.33333333333 wood

1 ruby = 3.57142857143 stone

1 ruby = 4.54545454545 food

1 ruby = 7.14285714286 coins

This means 2 things.
1. If you ever buy the lowest amount of res from the trader your actaully getting a discount! (over lv20)
2. We can safely assume the universal value is the lowest offer. So universally:

1 ruby = 3.33333333333 wood

1 ruby = 3.57142857143 stone

1 ruby = 4.54545454545 food

1 ruby = 9.54198473282 coins

I may of made a mistake somewhere, so maybe Stevie can ask one of his friends on how they make the prices.

Ok thats part 1 done. Now we know the value of ruby tools, you can buy the exact amount you want with rubies, so now we need to find out the real ruby price of these ruby units.

I tried finding the value through the millitary hospital, but the cost saved percentage varys for which kind of unit. For example:
Recruting an Imperial bowman costs 153 coins, but healing it costs around 9% less
Recruting a crossbowman costs 35 coins, but healing it costs 7, which is 80% less
So there is no exact way of knowing through the hospital., or is there...

RUBY OFFERS!

Ok athough these offers are not 100% accurate, they can help us, because im stuck for ideas.

So 60 Belfrys= 1,620 rubies  (armorer)
60 Heavy rams= 1,920 rubies
3540 rubies all together
25000-3540=  21,460
We have got somewhere! We now know that 75 demon and deathly horrors are worth
21,460 rubies.
BUT WAIT
I can heal a demon horror for 126 rubies and a deathly horror for 110
so healing 75 horrors in the hospis costs me:
75 demon= 9450 Rubies (In hospis)
75 deathly=8250 Rubies
all together  17,700 rubies

SO NOW WE HAVE =
75 demon and 75 deathly horrors are worth
21,460 rubies. (In an offer)
You can heal the same amount for 17,700 in the hospis
Which is a difference of 3,760 rubies, are we getting somewhere?
Credit to my sis for helping me with this part. I am not that smart...but I am young so its ok
Hospis/21,460*100
So the hospis is 82.47903075% of the normal price

Find the reverse percentage
126/82.47903075%*100=  152.7661071
110/82.47903075*100=133.3672316
Check:
(75*152.7661071)+(75*133.3672316)= 21460 (Original price of normal horrors)

1 Demon Horror= 152.7661071 rubies
1 Deathly Horror= 133.3672316 rubies

Ok so if all that is somehow right, 1 demon horror is 152.7661071 rubies and 1 deathly horror is 133.3672316 rubies, dear god I hope I didnt make a mistake in that.

The Prices
TROOPS

1 Demon Horror equals
152.7661071 rubies or
509.220356999 wood or
545.593239643 stone or
694.391395908 food or
1457.69186164 coins
Now you may of thought that the wood/stone/food is increadibly cheap for such units... and it is, and that means other troops are even cheaper, but see 1 costs over 1k coins, very interesting in my opinion. Opens my eyes to how many rubies I loot in other resources every day.

1 Deathly Horror equals
133.3672316 rubies or
444.557438666 wood or
476.311541429 stone or
606.21468909 food or
1272.58808779 coins

I will not be doing any more calculations for other units, it will just take to long and I will make a mistake somewhere. for tools they are relatively easy to do you could do them yourself, but I will do mantlets/shields since they are the ones people care about the most.

1 Iron Cast Mantlet equals
53.3333333333 wood or
57.1428571429 stone or
72.7272727272 food or
152.671755725 coins

1 Shield Wall equals
136.666666667 wood or
146.428571429 stone or
186.363636363 food or
391.221374046 coins
(I know wooden mantlets cost 810 coins from the armorer but dear god he overcharges them hugely) (Also although this all makes sense, I cant confirm any of it, the ways of working out or strange, but may as well try, if anyone has advice please comment below.)

Interesting, it's useless information (I don't mean that in an insulting way but it's information that is not needed in anway in GGE) but nevertheless it's interesting. Nice one :)

[4366588] Jeffery~West (US1) [None] :: March 30, 2016, 9:39 p.m.
Yup, but I find it interesting to think about anyway. :)

[4366591] WiteLighting (GB1) [None] :: March 30, 2016, 9:42 p.m.
1 Demon horror is 509 wood. I could buy loads of them then.

[4366594] Jeffery~West (US1) [None] :: March 30, 2016, 9:44 p.m.
Yup exactly true, but if they were ever on sale for that gge would just ramp up the price anyway

[4366606] WiteLighting (GB1) [None] :: March 30, 2016, 9:56 p.m.
It would be 20k for 1 knowing them lol.

You deserve a cookie for all that work mate.  Outstanding amount of research you've put into the game and on a more serious note I would like to congratulate you on managing to put all this information and more into the forums.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Also make it coconutties

Interesting post...........

About as much as a co// to a grape tho.

Those who can afford do not care and those that cant or have a little brains wont buy mate.

um yea not sure what I've stumbled upon here but maybe you may need to prioritize other things, this is the kinda thing that people make when they overthink stuff. It's a game so start having fun instead of dicing the info on it up into tiny pieces and over-analyzing it.

Its curiosity and it is interesting.

Carni.

What master pieces you do here , although the last piece , i dont really understand . You and your sisters work is FANTASTIC , and it is that you took this challenge on impressed me the most BRAVO

I made this because its something I have always wanted to know, and something I find interesting.
I know the date here is useless, but that does not matter to me, Because I learned something I wanted to know.

Also Stevie please tell me something, anything, if you think some of this could be right.

hmm...I thought it costs half of its original price to heal a troop?

btw, if you'd like more maths challenge, you can work on finding out the loss in a battle...

tips: if you send 100 X troops to fight against 50 Y troops, you'll actually lose less than sending 50 X troops against 50 Y troops, but I can't figure out how GGE works on the maths
