Reality is berri is for farmign coin these days not PVP, so you start PVP up your inviting revenge in Green, EW, BS, FP.  Thats how I view it, your ruining someones ability to loot coin. 

If somsone sends a 32 man attack to loot to get the carts, in berri I move troops out to let them win these days.  They send a full on attack, if they dont have tools I kill their troops off.   Game has changed in that regards, Berri is very firndly in terms of not hitting each other for the most part on AU1, douchbagging someones troops sitting in their main to stop them getting coin is a waste considering you gett better coin gallantry form the towers and free coin. 

Just my POV, no real rules on berri in aus, old rules used to be berri stays in berri.  Doesnt really apply now IMO considering the chnges.

On UK its still what happens in beri, stays in beri as far as I know

That is what is supposed to happen but it has started wars before because people are salty.
