Hello to all
The ramifications of key sharing, this is not multiplaying thats is a total different ball game.
As you know this game is a 24hour game 7 days a week , so should key sharing be allowed . For instance Foreign Invasion is 24hours , but we as players have to sleep, so if you are a ruby or non ruby player it is not fun playing against a bot that plays 24 hours a day , to wake up and find all your soldiers kill because, you have to sleep. no fun in that.
Also during war , because we have players all round the world , even worst to wake up and find every soldier you have are killed , really no fun at all.
Yes i know large alliances have safe houses , but that do suck sending them away .
So what is the solution , maybe GGE could put a sleep button in say for 8hours this will certainly sort out FI attack whilst we are sleeping or else Pass sharing . but something must change. because i am sure ruby whale will be extra peed off if they bought offers to find there wiped out in the morning , would you buy again Hmmmmmmmmm maybe not .
As the game progresses maybe GGE should rethink , especially with Foreign Invasion, also some support on the weekend, food for thought
Please i do not support multi accounts in any form , just want a fair play , because we are human and not bots

I think, Key Sharing is Okey. Because It's one of strategic of war.

I would like to say that by the rules key sharing isn't accepted robby. Yet alot people do it, duo the reasons bigmuller said above. Seeing it is against the rules it therefor is your own risk and crying afterwards isn't helping.
alot people complaining that they have been hacked, in all honesty their is a very very small to none chance you can get hacked with a programm. This means it most likely is a person who has your key who went badmode on it.
therefor make sure you always know your email so your pass can be changed back in support.
by this post i am not allowing it, but i'm explaining what could happen and what to do incase you still do it.
On topic: how much i would support a 8hours botton, there will always be people who will abuse it during the day to prefend people for hitting you. Like: ohhhh he comes with a 1-2k soldiers, let me switch to offline mode.
therefor saying you can only do it by night wouldnt be good either since some people only play in night and therefor can't attack others.
only option i would see which can be thought of and mentioned by you, is that by each server they look at the time zone and match this offline button who would only work for NPC targets aka foreigners.
But i'm not sure wheter or not gge will imply this seeing they have the birdmode.
But i will check it with you when the office is open.

what would be the point ?
it would have to change twice a year and also take into account that people play on different servers than their "home" server,
i have members from around the world in my alliance, who are in a different time zone,
even as near as 26 miles away, they are in a different zone

You wouldn't share your banking/paypal password - So why would you share your game password,
Its a permadeath game - Part and parcel of the game.
Its advertised as strategy - so if you buy troops you need a strategy to keep/use them.
I would prefer to burn than let the mrs on my account never mind someone I only know online.

Well all points are valid , but when you one of the large alliances during war , you would not get support, why would you send support to someone who is not there , yes it is a strategic game , but once you join an alliance you become part of a co operative , password sharing have been going since the game started. we would all be fools to think it do not happen.
Parts of this game are not what it seems , ie the Glory tournament yes it is partly through normal attacks , but mainly through friendly set up , it been the way of the game since i started over 4 years now , there is much manipulation . but all use these methods .
I think all is fair to determine outcome key sharing , and i really believe this game cant be hack , so if it when pearshape it because someone has got your pass through word and mouth.
Smart players change there pass at least once a month, so for the sake of game , players and for many other reason key sharing is acceptable, i honestly think the game would die if not. because of the above reason, and lets face it most players are friends and would never share with new players, we all become brothers and sisters in this game.
There is more to this than just the stand alone game , i am sure many players here have many friends around the world in this game . so in hte end it becomes more to trust that someone may do right by you when you are asleep.
Players invested so much time and effort in this game they cant just leave.
And again i do not agree with multiplaying that is just wrong .

I understand that there's a desire for some sort of 'account sitting' feature, which is something we've discussed many times and keeps coming up in our weekly chats.
However, at the end of the day, it's part of the strategy of the game. Of course, not everyone can be online 24/7, but that goes for every single person on your server. Your strategy should take into account the time that you won't be online, the defense you'll need, the food you'll require, and so on. We do not allow players to share passwords, in fact it's a bannable offence if detected/reported.
You not only risk your account being banned, but the overall safety of your account too, as we've had many cases of people who've been entrusted with accounts by their allies losing everything.

The thing is Steve, unless you guys enforce the rules people will keep doing it, as you can tell by the thread here its common place. When you talk about getting banned people get banned for 6 hrs, maybe 12hrs if you are feeling particularly harsh!!!!!
When you say banned you should mean banned ie perminantly!!!!
If there is no real punnishment, and you know full well a few hours here and there is doing nothing to deter people from doing it. Its down to you guys to not only set the rules but to enforce the rules with a punishment that is actually going to stop people breaking the rules, if people thought they would lose their account not for a few hours, but perminantly then maybe you might get somewhere!!!
its a bit like having a parking charge of £100 and only having a fine of £20, its worth not paying the charge, even on the off chance you do get caught you still £80 better off by just paying the fine!!!!!
If you aint gonna have a real deterant to doing it you may as well change your rules!!!! And let people do it becasue as you can see they already are!!!!!!
