What happens if you take bits of the elemental comm and put it on another super comm? Say the executioner with elemental gems and hero. Would the bonuses it gains from all those surpass the limit? Would it create some new monster comm 
?

no it would as the piece for a set and the best bonus are only when there is all pieces are together

I know the answer but I fear the results if someone has the money to dgo and do this.
In other words, its a very expensive one to figure out but has some uses if you have half a clue and unlimited cash.

one of those elemental comm gems costs 500k rubies to remove
cheaper to buy the bloody thing again..... But yea, can make a better combo with it (IMO) than a full elemental throwign the gems on other bits.

Here are the stats mate, worked them out;)
107% melee, 105% range, 120% wall reduction, 20% gate reduction, 110% moat reduction, 95% speed, 105% late detection, 75% glory, 50% flanks, 50%court,
Look item gives the 5th set bonus of +12% flanks, and then you could add maybe a level 8 court gem giving another 15%court
those stats are for the 4 elemental gems and hero with executioner equip, looks amazing, if you can afford the 848k rubies to buy the extra elemental bits

Most of these commanders are based on the 4 wave system - With 6 waves and right tooling its all about the CY.
I will say the extra Speed and Late Detect is handy .

yeah, the flanks are pretty nice too, also when you consider the extra 15 m/r would be equal to 15 more court it would have 60court, which is nice

Yes but if you already have the old super comm (1 or 2) then you can add elemental hero and 3 gems for 349k. whereas full elemental set is like 4.4M. So maybe 'better', but 4M rubies better?

Thing that is interesting, the winged knight is on special for -20% atm, same as the highlander was before they introduced this elemental. A new casta if it follows the example of the highlander/winged knight with 90 odd CY bonus off the bat and a huge wall advantage will be a HUGE advantage when they bring it out. I'm saying when because I have no doubts its comming :S.
