Im intrested in what a royal capital would do to the server. Maybe it would break the stale farming of events that is such a bore.

I would love to hear an update on the Capital. I hope it gets updated with the new Royal update/
A overhaul is coming - It has too ,
Many of things how it could be ... But for sure... Needs to be on the defensive side. To provide it with a great purpose and use.
Also they need to make Outer capitals worth while. Personally due to not being able to relocate in outers. The should offer something decent and for coins .. That would really get players moving.
We might even build a palace in outers then...

Well,
You make 6 wavers stronger by giving them better D units, alliances that have these players as well, its like a heap of people have just given up on defense from what I can tell
.... THAT highlights how much an update is needed if anything, I would hope so.
However the thing that im looking at is this, over time attackign units have gone from:-
* demons -> vet demons
* stealhearted troops -> remoresless
Coin troops and ruby troops for attacking are getting STRONGER and stronger and stronger, were also getting demons with the forrest warriors etc and constantly from the events. If your in a decent alliance you should be having an overflow of demons or demon like troops to attack with along with having a decent glory title so you can recruit decent enough coin troops.
The defenders they give us, forest guardians etc, they are just utter crap. We also havent had an update to defenders since when ? Vet Swords (recruitable) or vet flame's in berri that they took away from us straight away.
The guy who has the Elementalist / Highlander with a high level hall is always going to have some form of advantage. The guy who has Demons on tap from buying them even more so.
Yes, we make them stronger by giving them better defensive units, however we make the whole game stronger by giving everyone a shot at defending against these constant event demons etc. Forget "making the CC warriors stronger". In honesty I couldnt care what someone does with the demons they buy, I care about what GGE is going to give me that I can recruit so I am able to do a better job defending against them and the rest of my alliance as well.
Where can you see defensive units heading in the future ?
Instant demons from ruby deals is here to stay, no point harping on about it. So lets ignore that and look at somethign we can control or if nothign else put forward some ideas for GGE.
I agree caps in the outters could do with an update, however they still provide special units by that, only a cap holding alliance can recruit them. Cap in green is now redundant, so looking at that, what new special units should the Green cap get ?
For my I see VET KG being a way forward...

With these stats they are not quite as strong as Vet Flames in the primary stat however stronger in the secondary stat, all in all about 10% stronger over current KG's, might be worth makign them stronger than this again as 10% is nothing really, it all adds up but yea.... Makes them either slightly better / worse for holdign the wall depending on what your up against and for putting bulk into the keep they are goign to be fine. Thats where 90% of the battle is these days :S.

TBH, I'm pretty sure that could use an update as well.... However description of capitals is provides special units for alliance to recruit, Franks Cap in FP still does provide those units that we (other alliances) cant recruit we need to buy them for glass.
The GE Capital that no longer provides special units however is alot more relevant to this convo. It no longer provides special aunits so what is the way forward in terms of what special units should it get through an upgrade etc, what stats should they have ?

Capitals spawn off player numbers, I think US has 4 (Green capitals?) however the idea is that alliances fight over them etc etc. That doesnt happen at all, thats a reality.imspecial456 (AU1) said:@JJJJJJSK (AU1) this update makes the capital completely useless for you
most of your players can already recruit these soldiers through glory, because you only accept the best.now your capital is useless, and the metros have gone up in value, because they still help even the best.
GGS should add another 20 capitals or so to our server, and give other people a chance to own it, the ones that really need it
I think a way to make it more realistic moving forward is to make it so that alliances that cap the metro get a casta to try and hold it. Maybe not the casta that they send, maybe a generic casta dependant on their level (like shadow troops comm got an upgrade). With the stupid CY gems floating around now no way in hell can you can a metro and hold it for 24 hours without it getting knocked off.
Just putting 20 capitals out their makes them further redundant, it goes off player/server size. I think more competition should be encouraged for them but I dont know the best way to do this.
THIS thread isnt about wanting more of somethign that has been pancaked by GGE, I wanted everyone to have better defensive units, we all have them now even when Kev goes visiting, however there is no advantage to the capital now, it doesnt provide "special" units. Hover over it and read the description, provides special units to the alliance, it no longer does this :S.
I have to say it, when you can get loads of 205/220 PO form noamds and sammys just for looting, fill and OP full of them and a metro is redundant at higher levels, food bonus is nice but its nothing compared to having good PO, only really relevant when you hold them all in one alliance so your getting a 1.25k food bonus etc etc.
