I want to express my concerns where this game is going after 5 years.
I really like it, i spend more than my free time on it. I met lots of good people and friends in it.
But in recent months i have noticed rapid decline of interest in it. I play on Int1 and i lead an alliance. I play 3+ years.

Many old players are quitting and new players do not stay longer than lvl 20.
All but few alliances became ghost alliances, where few people watch over remains of once strong players.
In that scenario, only 2-3 same alliances keep wining all the contests all the time, because they concentrated 100-200 only strong active playrs remaining. I am not picking sides here, nor commenting internal politics ingame, this is much above it.
GGS must do serious policy changes to keep this game alive another 5 years. Because as i see it, it wont last another year or 2.

For example, and i will give some clever or stupid examples (the beauty is in an eye of the beholder) what could be changed to make this game more interesting

1) honor does not do anything. Why should not players with more honor have better food production bonus?
2000+ honor -> +30% food production for example. Fight for honor would be rewarded at least after 5 years.
2) why only 5+ wave players keep getting in top100 in FC? Rerank FC toplist in lvl70 by number of waves! So that other players can get full FC equipment, and NOT that only those who already have complete set have it all over again and again.
3) Why not make that players with over xxx.xxx  might points get maluses in some game aspects (-% food production f.e.), that way the strenght levels would equalize between persistent newbies and older players. And from company point of view, who cares if old players go away, they already bought what needed to be bought by rubies, right? Well, then focus on new players. And older players will find new challenge in balancing their glory and food production.
4) Alliance city upgrades are ridicoulously costly! Only top10 alliances can upgrade it. What is the point of that?
In royal merchant camp you need 4 million points to get all the equipment set. Concerning you get 2-3k per attack (which kills ~100 soldiers) you need to loose like 200.000 soldiers (4wavers maybe even more) and make like 2000 attacks to complete it. Who does the math at GGS???
5) Put out freakin robber barron attacks, what is the point of them? Just going on players nerves.
6) Put new equipment sets in nomads, or anywhere possible. Samurais were great news when introduced. But do not put them as in Kala. Who will possible make 600-700 attacks in 1 month in lvl70 in Kala? Only ultra-mega-persistent players, with lots of free time. This is why older players leave - GGS assume players are willing to spend 12 hours per day in game after 4 years of playing? Noooo, that is why old players leave, they know they wont complete it, and they are lacking achievable challenges and wars. But no wars will be fought when there are no more players. It is happening right now. Also have in mind that this game is played by kids who go to school, do you think they will play it 12 hours a day to complete Kala set? The math and the assumptions of GGS are completely wrong last year or two.

There are lots of things that i notice but now dont come to my mind. I hope others can add what bothers them too.

You must understand the crowd psychology: when you see others leave, you will leave eventually too.

Of course people leave, they leave because of what the game has become. Not because they cant achieve things. 
Every game dies. Everyone will leave. :(

Well i know two of us have mutual interest this game stays :)
But yes, trust me, sense of achievement is among the most important forces as in life, in this game too.
If you cannot fulfill your need for that emotion here (sense of achievement) you will find another game that will give you just that.

I get my sense of achievement by attacking other players, I snipe offence and do pvp at least twice a week,

And I wish for nothing more for this game to die. I wish for it the crumble to dust and for ggs to go bankrupt.

I play for pvp, and I play for the friends I have, nothing more.

i joined int1 and i showed them that i could be a vluable player, uess what? they ignored me and not even 1 top 20 alliance took me in. not a  very nice game spitrit there and alliances are sometimes made up of 30+ multi accounts of 1 player. bit ridiculous really and people start losing interest prettyquick when they have to suffer with mass attacks from 1 person.

every online game i have every played has eventually been destroyed by multi accounting, and unfortunaly GGE has completly and utterly failed to shut them down.  and ultimatly it will be the kiss of death, same as every other game i ever played.

It will eventually either force legit players to leave game as it will make them sick to see other players gaining all the benefits of running multiple accounts, or it will push them into doing the same thing, which just accelerates the decline.

Eventually, you will totally lose the concept of caring about your account.  building your own account, caring about your stats.  as you wont even remember which account is yours.  and once people stop caring trying to protect, keep getting stronger, the concept of the game is dead.

gge have accelerated the game so much pushed events down our throats in the unashamed attempt of milking the game for all its worth,  and the more they push it down players throats they shorten the life of the game.  Look at how many events are now actually pointless,  underground equipment is pointless now, thorn king equip is pointless,  even blade coast equip that was once prob best in game is pretty much redundant, storm equip is redundant.  Nomads equip is again outdated now.  For the top 100-150 players on the server other than maintaining glory bonus FI is pointless as the equp is just deleted now.  As the event has been totally and utterly flogged to death, and instead of looking forward to what was once a favourite for many players there is a collective groan of not again.

So gge has massivly accelerated the frequency of events as their data tells them the shorter the event the more revenue it raises, however they have totally ignored that increasing the frequency shortens the life of the event.  They have not kept up with speed of the acceleration and have failed, to keep events fresh.  And when they have tried they have introduced so many bugs in to the game and treated its customers so badly players are leaving in droves, yet the fact these accounts are becoming multis and never seem to "die" is probably hiding this from their all important data.  

I fear its maybe already too late, especially as gge cant not have seen this coming for a long time now and have totally failed to address the issues its facing.  but when a company puts short term revenues before long term playability then this is the result.  and by the time their precious data shows them this its already too late, data vs common sense i am afraid.  A simple case of then data tells you to jump off a cliff as its the fastes way to the bottom, and gge have blindy followed the data, and as a result will hit the bottom hard!

i do know an answer to you problem phil, GET SUPPORT WORKING! its absolutely useless, i have honestly never had such bad customer service. i have recently spent 50$ on the game but I can tell you that will probably end until GGE can actually answer me. stuff the tickets, use something different cos honestly, the ticket system sucks.

I think the main reason people have multiple account is that they start over after lvl70.
I have noticed very big deal of unsatisfied players by competition in lvl70.
You have probably also heard advice like "do not go to lvl70, because you will never get any rewards there".
So that is the main problem. My suggestion is to introduce lvl 71 and 72. Lvl71 for players with 5waves of attack (legendary lvl120+) and lvl72 for players with 6waves. Or something similar. Anyway, the new scaling must be introduced in what is now called lvl70.
This are all thing that can be easily implemented, and would change game experience by far.

I disagree to be honest. I think the main reason people have multiple accounts is because they're incapable of playing the game properly or are just plain lazy and don't want to work for the rewards. Either way, people who multi-account are absolute muppets who ruin the game for everyone and GGS have done nothing to combat it whatsoever.

Is that even multi-accing tho, if you delete your old account and start a new one thats just restarting and you still only have one account

well, now i say for sure. the int1 server is terrible. lvl 70's hitting lvvl 17's. lol, why are you worried? you have a group of people who cannot support themselves and assume to attack lvl 17s who can't even feed 100 troops? please gge, delete this server. it is a drain on everyones resources, especially your own.

Ha, you are so funny..Tell me - what about those same lvl 17s attacking lvl 70s over and over again, stealing labs and monuments? They can be a real annoyance, especially when Foreigners mass attack. Also, when outpost is empty with defenders because you sent your support to a co-player they can do some damage with relatively small amount of attackers.. How would you teach those schmucks a lesson? It is obvious that their only goal is to make players angry (I cannot call them players because they are nothing but schmucks)

I am sorry for what happened to you personally, was kinda fed up with those squirrel attacks that are happening on INT2, so wanted to point out why some lvl 70 would attack those lower levels..
It is for sure that those low levels are just multis of some stronger players who obviously have no other things to do in their lives.
One other thing crosses my mind - it might be that the ruined acc that you took op from was his/hers multi or something smillar
