The Cursed Isle
Georgie Grey, Slimy Sam and the Bosun's boy had stayed aboard the wreck to salvage anything of value and were even now awaiting the return of the lifeboat, to ferry their bounty to the beach.
(Sorry I couldn't wait any longer so I started it for you. Feel free to add the next bit and lets see where we can take this. Though it should probably be better placed in the Creative Corner Page. All the best, Debbie)

Meanwhile, the Bosuns boy clambered through the rigging, cutting loose the tattered sheets and lines, and dropping them to the decks below. He was the only one left with the energy to do so, being so small that he had been excused from duty during the worst of the storm for fear that he would be blown overboard.
Back on shore, a hasty makeshift shelter had been set up for those too badly injured or exhausted to be of use. The weary sailors had emptied the contents of their boat onto the sand and prepared to relaunch for the second leg of their salvage efforts. Everyone realised the dire intensity of their situation and wanted to help in whatever way they could. The less seriously injured, attended to those with bigger problems.
Most of those who were still mobile set to scavenging for food, collecting firewood, and searching for fresh water. Obviously the immediate priorities were nourishment and physical comfort. Second officer, Danny Diego, organised the rest to relaunch to lifeboat. Returning to the wreck had to be done before the tide turned and made the task more difficult. It would be tough enough rowing against the waves in their weakened state, without the tide to contend with as well.
(Come on people, Join the fun. Also, can someone with the authority to do so, please move this thread to the Creative Corner. Thanks. Deb)
A mere half dozen sailors were in fit state to make the second journey to the stricken ship. They set out rowing hard against the waves. The tide, though slowing, was still in their favour and in due course they tied fore and aft against the wreck. Slimy Sam and the bosun's boy were ready. All hands made short work of stowing the salvaged goodies into every nook and cranny of the lifeboat. By the time Georgie Grey called to drop the lines, everything of value had been stripped from the Maiden Head and was preparing to make its way to the tiny beach.
Also by this time, the tide had turned and was working in favour of the weary crew. “Thank goodness something is going right for us at last.” thought the exhausted captain. She had barely had time to scratch herself in almost 48 hours.
Now the sailors tried to the fight the undead for about a day even though they were outnumbered, but they were too many and 11 of the sailors died from the fighting which was about half of the remaining 22 survivors. Realizing that they could not win and were outnumbered the sailors fled the island. The reason why island is cursed is because of the magician living there who who has the able to summon the undead. However, the journey back home was very dangerous and only four people out of the eleven remaining who escaped the island had lived to tell the tale about the island. Now I was not one of four survivors, but I did overhear this story from one of the survivors named Boson's boy.
The remaining four survivors were the captain of the ship, Boson's boy, second officer Danny Diego, and Henry Turner when he was only about 11 years old who was also a few years younger than Boson's boy and even before the search of his father or the trident in "Dead men tell no tales". Now very few people know about this story, but it is also a legend that surprisingly not even Henry Turner has ever told anyone about. Also, his father Will Turner was cursed from "Curse of the Black Pearl" and so that is why he was not with his son. His mother was a good friend of the captain as well who also trusted the captain which was the reason why he was traveling with the sailors and captain of the ship, because he wanted to travel with them, had permission from his mother, and also took place during the summer. However, his mother was not traveling with the sailors either.
(Important to take note I do not know exactly who the ship's captain is and the captain's name, but apparently he or she was also one of the few survivors. In theory the captain is Georgie Grey, but that is only just a guess.)
The captain was indeed named Georgie Grey and you have effectively put paid to the rest of the story in one fell swoop. Unless I decide that the whole crazy hermit magician and undead skeleton scenario was all a mass hypnotic event induced by the consumption of some decidedly "magic" mushrooms, which were picked up by the foraging crew members and turned into a delicious intoxicating stew.
It is an alternate ending of what could have happened. Meaning that perhaps the hermit magician could have perhaps provided the mushrooms to crew members and perhaps they all died from it and turned into the undead after they died because of the mushrooms being deadly from being toxic and also magical and hypnotic meaning they had become the magician's slaves to do his bidding and were possessed by the magical hypnotic mushrooms. Only problem is that the magician also had the ability to summon a large army that was a lot more than the 22 surviving sailors on the islands which is why they were outnumbered and the magician did know the sailors were living on the large island until about a month later.JYT (US1) said:oh my god I skipped a few posts and then read "a mass hypnotic event induced by the consumption of some decidedly "magic" mushrooms" and got so confused
Now in theory perhaps in the past even before the 27 sailors had arrived there were other visitors who were fed the hypnotic magical mushrooms by the magician and did not know they were intoxicating, but that kind of goes off topic because of that all happening even before the start of this story and being able to summon the undead could be an indicator there may have been other people who used to live on the island long before the hermit magician lived there and died there who were now the undead when the hermit summoned them. But like I said it is all a legend with all of the characters mentioned from the story including Henry Turner, except for his role in the Walt Disney movie "Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men tell no Tales" are all legendary made up stories. (In the world of Walt Disney the fictional episode of "Dead Men tell no tales" really did happen though and was being played in the movie theaters as well which I really did go to watch.)
(Well there we go. Now we're back on track. Feel free to add a bit, but please don't finish the story yet. I am having fun thinking about where the story will head.)
Looking around, Georgie spied her clothes, hung neatly over a nearby branch. They were, by now clean and dry, and she wondered about that as she dressed. Her head was still foggy with what she supposed were the aftereffects of the mushroom stew.
As she ambled into the midst of their camp, Georgie could see that she wasn’t the only member of the crew who had been similarly stricken. Only Danny Diego and the bosun’s boy could be seen moving about the camp. The pair of them looked to be on the point of collapse. Doing a quick head count she estimated that a further 6 of the survivors must have avoided the mushroom stew or been immune to its effects. She guessed that they were either out and about collecting food and water, or on guard duty. She strode up to her second officer and barked out a command. “Report, Number 1”
Despite his exhaustion, Danny Diego jumped to attention and launched
into a detailed explanation of the previous 36 hours.
Starting at the point where the ship was forced onto the reef, and ultimately lost, he recounted the tale of their misadventure. He described the state of the remaining crew members as well as the measures taken to ensure their comfort. Of the thirty who had made it through the storm, another two had succumbed to their injuries. The rest of the injured were being tended to by Fearless Flo. She had been apprenticed to the Sawbones for the past year and was familiar with the healing arts. Fortunately Flo had been in the process of setting her own broken arm when the majority of the crew fell ill from eating the mushroom stew. Sadly, the Sawbones lay wracked with disease and was unlikely to recover without his own experienced medical skills.
The bodies of the dead had been collected and stored in a nearby cave, pending the captain’s recovery. The idea being that they would be consigned to the depths once she was well enough to perform the rites. She nodded, silently approving this course of action.
Danny went on to list the items they had been able to salvage from the ship, the resources they had managed to find on the island and their progress in establishing a settlement.
Slimy Sam had assumed control of the watch, though so far there had been little to trouble them in that regard.
I will bow to your wishes David and complete the story for myself in my own time.
Thanks for reading and goodbye.

Debbie
