Actually both, at first u are told that a local robber lord (similar) has captured u`r princess, later once u complete certain chapters and hit lvl 40 and introduced burning sands it is told that burning sands fortress king has captured u`r newfound princess(:P).

Here's my riddle: What is the difference between imperial hunting lodge and campaign hunting lodge?

the imperial hunting lodge is a bonus to food production and has 3 levels and all 3 give the same food bonus of 20 percent [although it displays 120%] meanwhile the campaign hunting lodge has 10 levels and each of them reduces the food consumption by 10% and all of the levels cost rubies meanwhile the first level of the imperial hunting lodge only costs wood and stone
