Topic: [279866] Start a new alliance or keep searching?

I've been playing now for a few weeks (current lvl 24) and I'm struggling with the alliance thing. Joined an alliance right out of the gate and quickly realized it was dead (had only a couple active members and no interaction at all). Then I was invited to join a sub-alliance of a bigger one in the area and thought it looked good, until I actually switched over and realized 1. only a couple people are active 2. they think we're playing farmville. I realize not everyone wants to be a war junkie, but frankly this is getting boring because we're not doing anything. At. All. I'm looking to be more aggressive and get out there and cause a bit of mischief.

So, trying to decide if I want to try yet another alliance or just go out on my own. There's another member of my current alliance (lvl 28), who's in the same position so we'd form the new alliance together.

Pros and cons of starting a new alliance?

Thoughts?

You might have another interested... I'm constantly attacking something...lol. But I know what you mean , I'm in every day for 5-6 hours at least. The last alliance I was in was so scattered as to be useless , and like you said , the members were hardly ever there.

well, as someone who has started thier own alliance, it can be a lot of effort, and you would need a lot of rubies and to know a lot of people to make it decently strong, my best advice for you is to join an alliance of more then 30 members that s close to your main castle , if you are having trouble getting into one, message me in game and ill hook you up

Thanks for the input. I'm a non-ruby player so that could be tricky. There's a few strong sounding alliances in the area, but I'm hesitant now to pursue any of them because I've hit two duds so far. We contacted the alliance we're a sub of, asking for their war list so we could get in on a bit of action, and the reply was that they aren't at war with anyone. Isn't this a war game? Sigh....

Most alliances avoid war because they are in the building stages, however

in most decent sized alliances, glory hits (single attacks on a random castle in a indpendent alliance) are encouraged.

being a non ruby player id say it wouldnt be best to start an alliance at such a low level, maybe later tho

so yeah, for now id look for an independent alliance that has around 30 or so members and likes glory attacks, if you are still unsure on which to join, just post some of thier names on here, and ill give you my opinion on the best fit for you

Just talked with my alliance-partner in crime, and I was informed that we've already taken on/taken out most of the independent alliances in our area. Soooo...might have burned that bridge lol.

I'd gladly leave my alliance for a more active one. Wonder what the lead's reaction will be if she sees this xD But seriously, not even the leader's on that much (and I don't think she reads the forums anyway).

Starlight 63, click on the Alliance button (lower left), then click Management (button to the left), then click the broken handshake button (aka Leave alliance). Poof! You've left your alliance!

ROYAL ADVENGER, it's really tough to find active players, if you plan on starting an alliance.

My castle is castle sharky.

Feel free to join my alliance. During the schoolyear my alliance used to be quite active but now my recruter has not been online in seven days or more and his castle is in ruins.

my treasurer and diplomat have not been online for two or more days and at least one of them has their castle in ruins.

My deputy Melockisen the second person to join my brand new alliance was last online a little more than forty-eight hours ago.
