I am in an alliance by myself and want to leave it. how do i do this

bottom left of the screen click alliance then under the alliance funds tab there is a management tab with your description of your alliance with another button that says leave alliance

Can the resources deposited into an alliance treasury ever be captured by or given to another alliance? What happened to the resources in alliance funds if the last member of an alliance leaves the alliance?

Yes, resources can be taken or offered as a tribute to an alliance you are at war with. When the last member leaves the alliance, the alliance is done and everything is lost.
