I joined an allaince...not sure what I pushed or clicked but did not mean to join.....how do I get out of it?

If you've not figured it out already.

In the "Management" tab of your alliance, there is
the image of busted hands, shown below.

Clicking that, will prompt you if you're sure you wish to leave.
Accepting that (Green button), will remove you from said alliance.
