Started the game a few weeks ago and saw it has great potential. Complicated to begin with and many features. The pop ups are annoying but hey, it's a free game. The one thing I hate is having to turn off the music every time I log in. I wish that the setting would remember I turned it off.
The great thing about this game was that I was fortunate enough to join a smaller alliance that was under the radar of many larger--seeking glory--players. This allowed me to grow and discover the game without being constantly attacked or pestered.
Great leader in Silver of the Apache Warriors. For starters, he knew how to handle people, although, it is a chore sometimes.
Then we have this Satin (skid marks) Swords replace him. Not sure if he just tired of it or she had something on him but they switched places with her being no. 1 and he being no. 2. Well, in my book, she'll always be a number 2.
Since she's not silky smooth like satin material, she's more like Burlap in that she's rough as a cob and doesn't know how to treat people other than dirt. People don't like being talked down to and treated this way, so I don't know how long it will take Burlap Betty, as I like to affectionately call her, to figure this out.
She has chosen to assert her power as a woman leader to the detriment of the alliance. Does it make a difference if the leader is a man or woman? In my opinion, no. In her opinion, she feels the need to remind everyone of that fact about every 15 minutes. Perhaps that's her way of explaining her shortcomings as a leader or as an excuse that she's a woman and people won't respect her because of that.
Newsflash! People don't respect her because she's a horrible leader and treats people with no respect. She's trying to come across as a cool, hip woman leader but her words and actions say more of a 14 year old girl without a clue. Rather than that hip, cool Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany, she's comes across more of the crazy cat lady in the Simpson's TV show. That or the other woman with a constant cigarette hanging out her mouth and dressed rather saggingly.
Within two short weeks she has taken a prosperous little alliance that was up and coming with members relating to one another in chat, commendatory, joking around, helping on another out, friendship to that of a Soviet gulag. And, if anyone dared, dared to stand up to her she would dismiss them to assert her power.
Well, there's only so many active players she can dismiss before she'll realize that it's not a "mutiny" in her words, but a revolution against her dictatorial style of killing the game for everyone within a five mile radius.
I really don't think that she'll ever get it that she's coming across as an immature brat that has burned all the goodwill that Silver has carefully built.
Remember, it's called goodgame empire and not Burlap Betty's Empire.

I feel special that you dedicated this to me. And for your information Silver is a girl, and she willing handed her position down to me because she became to busy. And you're the only person in the alliance who feels this way, I mean you sent them a letter asking them to join the alliance that you so willingly pledged to destroying me. Has anyone joined? No, but I have gotten many letters from the Apache Warriors saying they supported my decision. They all agree it was a tough decision but they believe I handled it right.
I'm sorry rann1 if you feel this way about me, but I'm not one the destroying this great game, you are. Just because someone was promoted higher than you doesn't give you the permission to ruin my experience on this game.
Believing that you are a grown man, I'm asking you to drop this stupid tough guy act and end it. Everyone over here at the Apache end is sick of you and your antics.

The whole issue wasn't over promotions, it was the fact that I disagreed with you and you didn't like it. The issue of the promotion was asked of you in a private message and I waited for a reply. The problem wasn't the promotion but the fact it immediately followed an earlier private message to you regarding an incorrect answer you gave to someone in chat, and then quickly logged out.
In a private message that followed that, I explained you how you were wrong, what resulted was an act of retribution on your part. The demotion of another member I did not feel was right and said so. Do you really want to run a group where the members are afraid to speak their minds? Do you want people to fear you?
Why you felt the need to press these issues at a time when a member was being attacked is beyond me. You viewed it as an attack on your leadership skills and it was not.
You used the term "mutiny." You also earlier publicly asked the group to dismiss another member of the group for any or no reason. How harsh is that?
I thought this whole issue had been discussed and settled when Viki and I spoke about it the other night. But apparently it has not.
You were too quick to act. While it's unfortunate that it had to come to this, you, rather than trying to discuss it, acted harshly. Now, please explain how it came that I left your group? It was not of my own accord. You made a very big production that you were going to kick me from the group and for all members to say their goodbyes. You were angry at me. On that there is no question.
In a group, there will be disagreements, conflicts and discussions that are generally forgotten the next day. No one said running a group is easy.
Silver sent me messages and I was unable to read all of them at the time due the shear volume. I truly believe that she is a good leader and person. Had I been able read the final messages that she sent at that time, I would have stopped it then and there, solely for what she wrote and how it affected her. For the distress that it caused her, I am truly sorry. But, you acted hastily on my part and you know it in removing a very active member from the group. I believe you thought it was a joke at the time.
It is true I sent messages to the active members and invited them to join the group I formed. At least one member has taken me up on that.
The basic info of that message to apache was that I was not attacking them, only you for your actions against me. Not one member from Apache has attacked me, nor do I intend to attack them.
Silver has stated that you are a good person and that may be true. If so, don't push people so hard. We will see your good qualities and follow good leadership.
Now, I'm going to change the description on the group I made to better reflect goals that we want to reach in the future.

We have now amiably settled the disagreement and ended this discussion, and all probable cause for adverse action.
Unfortunately, it appears that deleting these posts are not possible or very difficult. Kind of contrary to the spirit of this game to not be able to retract such articles in good faith.
Therefore, I declare such comments ended and let's leave it at that. Further commentary other than by Silver, Satin or myself is subject to nasty repercussions. We will leave a flaming bag of poo on your castle doorstep.
What'd ya'll expect? We ended this feud, respect that.

Looking up the procedure to delete article, the suggestion was go to the edit function and the delete option is there. But, it also stated that the moderators could have disabled this function. Since it's not there, I assume it's been disable.
