Topic: [320491] GK & FU had some fun

So all of the battle reports are together now. Between both alliances we ended up sending 1.4 million soldiers (and farmers) to their makers over a span of a few days.

We didn't want our guys (*cough* me...) posting reports during the war because we weren't sure what kind of hostilities there might be, or what escalation might unfold if stuff started turning into propaganda. Turns out we probably didn't need to worry though, FU were good sports, and I hope they think we were too. I appreciate everyone who allowed this to be as low key as it was during the fighting.

I still can't believe how close this ended up being. Just a day and a half before the end of the war, we were within 4k losses of each other. At the time, that was only one-half of one percent difference. In the end, we were within 2.4% of each other.

There were too many reports to put on a thread, so here they are on a Google Word document. They are sorted by GK player (the reports I couldn't get from us, I got from FU, those are the ones where you'll see the GK player's name on the right hand side).

It got a bit tedious looking for the juicy reports after bout 20 pages.

Some nice reports though. Good to see this being posted on the forums, hopefully it helps encourage more people to embrace the PvP aspect of the game again.

I can confirm, the report total is fairly accurate, as all of my major hits are posted on this thread. I think it may be missing one or two of my tool burning hits on Miss Julie but they don't count as a real battle anyway since I was just burning off all her lime bombs anyway with wolves.

It was a respectful war, and GK gave as good as they received.

Maverick's hits start up on page 50. I 'd say those few pages are the highlights

Not everyone has time to post their top hits and add a gif or some witty comment dissing the other side

Interesting numbers put forward by the 'big sardine can of the seas'..effectively GK pipped FU at the post, more interesting is the fact those numbers could've been way worse had not the wrecking machine known as 'SMACK', not put in a cameo for FU. Cant really comment as to weather GK brought in any 'pinch-hitters' they may or may not have.Overall both sides seem content which is fair enough..

Now im thinking both alliances should have round 2 and go again but this time have a real war , get dirty , get nasty , bring in heaps of outsiders, smash each other stupid , put the heat on, make it personal, not some 'handbags at 20 paces' war.Test each others mettle, skill, tactics, temperments, endurance and patience. Get into each other or maybe youd rather do berimond and blade coast ........again:)

Smack is definitely a beast, I think we took out 9 or 10 of his incoming demon horror armies (at a hefty defensive loss) yet they kept coming. But on our side we had Medivh come over to visit, as well as I the Terrible for a few days as well, so no complaints.

What took me so long at putting the report and numbers together (aside from the quantity of them) is... for most of the fighting we were within 50k losses of each other. Sometimes only 4k. So I kept re-tallying the numbers thinking I had switched them up. Nope, it really was that close. It kept everybody engaged, that's for sure.

Yes a few would be missing from you, Jbenny, eddie1kenobi and probably another 1 or 2 from our side. I put in the ones I could get forwarded, and for the others I figured they probably evened themselves out.

Damn GK kicked ass, it looks like both sides lost a lot of $$$$ in that war.
