It's a joke, I am currently trying to find myself a suitable place to start, i'v never done a pvp before, still flexing my legs, "getting a lay of the land", if you will.

ok no need to get defensive I am just making sure since that is the goal for the joust thread nice clean pvp with posted battle reports first to three victories or five or seven depending on how long you think you want the fight to last ? I guess someday we can go for more rounds but for now I think we should keep it very short so no tempers flare until we can work the bugs out of the system .....

[4257293] Noble Leone (ASIA1) [None] :: Jan. 15, 2016, 12:38 a.m.
I agree, no need to start smashing each others faces with maces. We could go until one of us calls a cease fire, that alright with you?

Nah I smash people in the face with not a mace but a sword until I get bored :)

Well, that is not the intent of the Joust, the intent is to have fun, just read "Jousting HQ" in the "Games" section.

I was thinking first to three posted victories in the days of old when knights jousted they fought to either three or five lances broken or the first one to yield depending on the nature of the contest and because of how heated everyone gets around here when armies land I think we should start small and work out a viable system so we don't sit around arguing about who won or who will never yield etc ....I have also noticed that everyone here has different degrees of measuring victory here as coolking pointed out if you just sweep my three ops you get three easy victories so we are flying blind here and headed for trouble ... hence the need for ROE to be defined before any real engagement here ..... BUT I DIGRESS !! :D

Well then, too three victories it is then!

In this case a victory is weather you came out victorious in the battle or not, not weather you won the war, this way their is no dispute as too who one.

Well I was thinking we go to five victories actually just because of the whole I can sweep the ops options and the questions remains should op hits be excluded and count main attacks as victories only ? or do we want to allow for variable defense ? forcing improvisation under fire ? we should clarify this before the troops march I think ....

[4257305] Noble Leone (ASIA1) [None] :: Jan. 15, 2016, 1 a.m.
I thought we already did, in Jousting HQ you said you wanted it to be more like an actual battle setting, so I changed it from no OP attacks, to Op attacks are allowed, and every joust has it's own set of rules agreed upon by the two+ players in the joust, one can even have a whole alliance joust if they wanted though, although you should probably get your alliances permission before you do that.  :)

right but just like always even though we are typing communication still seems to be a problem area here ....

[4257308] Noble Leone (ASIA1) [None] :: Jan. 15, 2016, 1:03 a.m.
That is everywhere on the internet, people don't realize how much your hand and face gestures communicate your emotions and what you are actually trying to say until they can't use them.

so once again we come back to finalizing the terms of our joust before the ponies ride ....

Well, meet me on Jousting HQ and we shall finalize it as quickly as possible, I may or may not have let the ponies fly before you said that, as in, several hours ago.
