Topic: [305806] $$ spent in server war

[-305806] Diemolis (US1) [None] :: April 17, 2016, 4 a.m.
Out of pure curiosity, could some one take some time to calculate the $$ spent on the server war? Because I think at this point, it is a figure worth discussing given the war's scale, scope, and entirety, as well as providing a reality check to the players and their affiliated parties involved.

Well around the halfway mark I was keeping a tab on money spent through estimation of hit costs troops, commanders, power/honor changes, glory title change, alliance power, and so on. During the huge kt mass where kon lost an EXCESSIVE amount of troops *It was more than any other mass I had ever seen ever an it was all over the forums. Back in Zombie's day* I stopped counting. Around there was when we had passed the 1 million mark?

We are essentially funding the Germany Economy. If anything, we must be a large portion of Germany's GNP. LMAO

Mind you, this was before the induction of the NEW god commander, the new titles, new events like spring and winter and beri, and new offer that throws you easily over 1 million power. Taking that into account I'd throw a number around 2-3 mill at most. Since 200k rubies is about 100 dollars, and an average god comm costs 550k-600k a piece, we have about 300 dollars a piece nearly. The average hyper active spender loots anywhere from 500-5k a day. So within one purchase amass about 5 pieces, 4 eqs and a hero. Thats about at most 24 million rubies. 15k dollars a god comm.... Assuming at least 10 players in kon main have it (and a few in horde) we have at leassssssst 150k spent on the server war and about 200k spent entirely? Within the last month or so? So certainly my numbers are BELOW average.

millions, literally.

I saw online a long time ago that Goodgame was a million dollar company. Who knows.... maybe a billion dollar company now? :/

it's all an insane waste of money.

Out of curiosity, and also fact checking, how do you know that?

troops that are required for that many power points, the troops that Negan loses defending and attacking, and things like that

While there were more costs early on, the majority of the time in this war isn't close to what I'm seeing written above.

Four things to consider:
  1. Specialty commanders have always been super expensive, but even before the server war, the whales were buying god commanders and that hasn't changed.  The spenders will spend, they don't need war as an excuse, as we know from the past.  I wouldn't count long-term purchases like those as part of a 'war' cost, because honestly they're not.
  2. GGE changed how wars are fought.  For every battle you see (or don't see), there are maybe 9 similar armies that land on an empty castle.  The same expensive troops and tools are used over and over and over until they are eventually defended against.  They go a long way.  Even tower attacks have lately been cheaper, because instead of defending, owners often just drop the tower instead, and retake it at low cost with their close proximity before defense support arrives.
  3. Events are ridiculous now, people are getting full armies of horrors, vet horrors, samurai troops, etc. just by participating in events.  Not to mention all of the fast samurai people can obtain with tokens, which accounts for a lot of the small hits you see taking out a couple thousand troops due to their speed.  Not to mention flight feathers making the majority of speed attacks free.
  4. Let's assume CoolKing truly does know someone who knows Negan, and let's assume that someone is a person that Negan confides her fiscal habits with, and that they are the type of person to share that.  Okay, there is still one slight flaw: this thread is about war costs.  Negan is a beast at war, but is also the leader in the majority of PVE events.  How much, do you think, of that supposed $1,000 goes toward pve stuff and how much toward war?  Keep in mind, operating events at that level earns you a ton of troops and other rewards.
The above isn't intended to say the war doesn't cost a lot, it does.  But seeing the earlier posts just serves as a reminder of what the war is like, versus what people think the war is like.

I am here to tell you that you are wrong, your source is wrong, or it is just made up info.

We could all easily assume she spends about a grand on rubies a week, but nobody really knows except here. It would vary so much per week. I bet on occasion she may not even get to 500 bucks a week, but other times she would have to spend3-5 times as much as 1k...

You would have to account for all the ruby bonuses she would get, how much each offer is worth as far as troops and stuff and all sorts of other things. I am sure most of KoN main doesn't even know how much she spends on average. It's alot, that is all we know. There is so much confusion as to where Negan gets this money from. Some say her "husband" owns a business, others say she inherited it all from her parents, and some dare to even say that she is a camgirl... but we all know that ain't true lol, she wouldn't make a dime if she did that.

Also, just knowing someone is KoN doesn't mean crap tbh. I have been in so many KoN alliances in my old days and every alliance seemed to have 10 or so of their own figures to how much Negan spent. And just based off of KoN history, you shouldn't be taking anyways word for anything if it comes from KoN.

It's your side saying that's been saying she is.  It's what I based my comment on.
So now we all have a choice: to believe all of the other posters from your own side, or to believe you.

You're too eager to pick up the pom-poms.  Just ease into the role and get acclimated first.
