Hey, @freefall4 (US1), welcome to the forums!

Here's a link to some experienced, high level players' thoughts on recruiting players for your alliance (it's a long read, but there are some golden tips buried amongst all the bitterness)

A Low Lvl's View On Recruitment by @Grim Reaper9 (US1)

If you don't feel like reading through the whole thing, here are a few of the most important tips:

"You just need to be consistent. Work on writing strong recruitment mails, scan through nobility contests and pick up low levels with high potential. I find having a large leadership team that you can trust completely is an enormous help. It allows you to focus on other duties and not spread yourself so thin." - @Molson Beer (US1)
"People came to mine to escape from pressure from statistic obsessed, paranoid alliances and to find an alliance that valued them are cared about each member, fighting for them to the end no matter what, without anyone afraid of fires and all of that. So that's how I got all of mine. that, and because I was always nice to everyone and had a sense of humor." - @Graycat (US1)
"In my experiences and interactions with other leaders, you need a solid understanding of the game, connections to others, confidence in yourself, and maturity to build a successful alliance. Maybe you don't have all of that, which is why having a strong leadership team is incredibly important. If it's just one guy doing everything, your alliance will fail." - @Molson Beer (US1)
"Recruiting people comes down to having a strong recruitment letter and a decent looking account yourself.  Nobody wants to join an alliance where the best guy is a 35K pp level 50.  The real challenge is retaining people once you get them which again, comes down to you.  I personally worked with a small team in leadership that was very flexible, helpful, experienced, and most important, active.  Nobody will stay in an alliance unless you're in the trenches with them pushing events, hitting during war, and just being around in chat to talk to.  If you aren't around, they'll find people who are. Same as if you can't answer their questions, they'll find people who can." - @TannerM. (US1)
"For recruiting, both TBF and Rusty Maces were built on the backs of low levels who had good potential that we recruited and taught.  Look through event rankings, loot rankings, nobility rankings, might point rankings, and seasonal rankings.  All five of these factors are good indicators of high potential players.  Once you get a player with good potential, you need to be there to teach them and help them grow.  Make an atmosphere they will want to play in and be loyal to.  Some teams rely on mass recruitment letters, forced mergers and other gimmicks but if you want to have a strong and loyal team, bring in low levels and build them.  It takes more time like that but the pay out is far greater than bringing in some higher levels from elsewhere who will leave when the next best team sends them a letter." - @TannerM. Hello everyone i'm new and i would really like some advice on how i can get more players to join my alliance.
That's easy. You can build the strongest alliance on the server in three simple steps.

1: Spend a ton of money and become the highest ranked player in events.
2: Be standoffish but not rude to people who talk to you.
3: Open alliance for anyone to join.

Much profit.

***Disclaimer: Doing this will most likely result in selfish, and disloyal members becoming a part of your alliance.***
