I've finally lost those few remaining threads of common sense that warned me not to get involved in this whole mess.

But I like to be well-informed about situations that have the potential to affect me in future--and that includes the server war. I also like to be able to have an educated opinion on these kinds of things--that way I can learn from others' mistakes and better understand where everyone is coming from.
That said, I'll cut right to the chase--I'm pretty much entirely clueless about when, how, and why the server war even began. I've searched, but it seems no one has actually compiled anything resembling an overview or timeline (if you know of one, please link me, and I'll edit this post or ask a CM/mod to delete it). All I've managed to learn so far has been from highly opinionated forum posts, insults from both sides, & just plain old rumors.
I'm really hoping this post doesn't become a battleground, so I'd appreciate it if anyone who has something to share would just PM me rather than post it here. I'm just trying to grasp the basics--I don't need a whole spiel on which side is in the right, I just want a (mostly) objective overview on how everything started, as well as any major power shifts or property transfers that have transpired since then (such as the whole W0K fiasco).
And here is a beautiful example of what I'm not looking forDiaper Boy (US1) said:KON was greedy, so they came up with a lousy excuse to go to war with MISC.

I've already heard that one, @Diaper Boy (US1).

I mean...does anyone even know how the war started anymore? Or is everybody just fighting because that's what their alliance leaders told them to do? I'm actually, sincerely confused as to why I can't get a straight answer. Are all of you guys really THAT hateful? I just wanna know what on earth happened to create such a rift between alliances who were allies, for goodness' sake...should've expected to get nothing but bitterness & gag-reflex answers. C'mon guys...I know you can do better than "MISC is evil!" or "KoN is greedy!"
I know there are good people on both sides, & I know there are scumbags on both sides, so I'm not going to be satisfied with propaganda. People aren't black and white, so the war isn't either.
Misc were helping KON win storm. Then KON put all the bad titles on Misc and stripped them of property. Apparently for server domination.
KON say that Misc and dt was planning to overthrow KON and took action, it went from there.
What I have been told, do correct me.

1) The forums went through an overhaul a while back. When this war started, we were all on the English forums. About 9 months into the war, they changed our default over to the newly formed USA1 forum so this is where newer threads have started. So you can go back to the old 'EN" forums and look up old threads if you haven't tried that.
2) Many of the threads giving full information (some were really good) eventually became chock-full of screenshots, language, harassment or pictures that violate the ToS. They were deleted. This is especially true in the first year of the war. To give you perspective, what you're seeing lately is much more tame than it used to be.
You're probably not going to get a true picture of the war (currently or from the start) from anyone on here to be honest. Many of those still in the war are resentful of the other side. Many of those who left the war are full of sour grapes. Most of the rest who weren't every really a part of it but comment anyway, just want a name for themselves or attention.
Thanks, Manatee, that's good info. Any way you could link me to those EN forums? Could probably find them, but don't want to end up in the wrong place or sift through a ton of stuff. If you don't feel like it, that's fine, just wonderingManatee (US1) said:Danielle, I'm not going to give you the answer, anything I say will be denied by one side or the other. But maybe I can help in some other areas.

And yeah, makes sense that any threads attempting to give information would get hijacked. Doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Pretty sure this one is gonna get the same treatment eventually.

It's like the Balkans.....caused WWI and since it's heyday as the center of bringing the world into war it has been a side show on the world stage. For the most part even though there is surely some very serious isolated fighting going on here and there it is pretty much meaningless to the rest of the world.
Your best bet is not sweat it if it is not effecting you. As Manatee states there are some decent threads that can give you some insight but you will never really get the whole unfiltered picture. There a ton of lvl 20-40 something's that will give you reams of feedback. Unfortunately most of it is gibberish because they are wanna be warriors .
In the end there are a small group of talented, dedicated players who are still holding on to what they see as an important cause and that is something they should likely be commended for.
For the most part it is easy to stay clear of and on the whole does not effect the day to day activities in the server. I believe at some point the other up and coming groups will continue to overshadow the once all consuming war.

they'll probably be old threads, I don't feel like searching through to find them but maybe a few keyword searches or something might help?

Yep, pretty much what he said.zombieslayer12a (US1) said:Hi Danielle, I was in the sever war in my old account, As you said Danielle, my leader sent a mass message saying we have to the MISC basically, well my friend that was in the MISC, told me a different story about what happen. So I never really find out. What I did gather about what happen is the KoN were always winning wars with DT and the MISC helping them. Over time the KoN wanted more and more( They were basically getting greedy). Well the MISC had a lot of stuff and the KoN wanted to expand as I said. The KoN thought they were powerful without The MISC so they went to war with The MISC and now its a ongoing war. Remember, everybody story is probably different, So I suggest goes to the site that Manatee said on who you support. I support The MISC. I am a ex KoN member. My belief is Negan started the war but that is me. ..............................................................................................................................................................................................

Just chalk it up to: irreconcilable differences.
Just make sure you treat what you see on the forums with a grain of salt. History is being rewritten, tides in perception are shifting, even how the alliances act are changing for good or worse.
If you have a desperate need to know the truth, your quest will be a long one. My best advice is to just sit back and watch, knowing the commentators most of the time are full of beans. My 2nd best advice is to just pick a side and go along with their version. It won't be 100% right, but at least you won't be in limbo.
