Topic: [317449] How to embed images on the forums?

[-317449] GnomeSaiyan (US1) [None] :: Aug. 25, 2016, 3:46 p.m.
Hey, I don't know if this is the right section but I didn't see any other section where this would apply.

I wanted to know how to embed an image.  I know i can use the attach image option at the top of the post, but when I try to use [img] tags it never works.  Does this forum use bbcode or is the only way to attach an image through that button?

Thanks!

just have your image uploaded to say www.imgur.com
right click and copy it.
switch tabs to the forum, right click and paste it
Then your image is there.

Hey. I do believe this was answered a while back, but I'll still put a short walk through :)

1) I use this app called lightshot. Safe and easy to use.
https://app.prntscr.com/en/index.html

2) After downloaded, to screen shot the image/area of your screen, you click "prt scr" button on your keyboard and then select the area to screen shot.

3) Then, you click "upload to prntscr.com". Copy and paste the link into a new tab.

4) Right click the photo and click "Copy image address"

5) Paste the address here

6) You should get your picture up here

I'm sure there are other/shorter/longer ways to go about it, this is how I do it. The steps may seem long, but it truly only takes me about 5 seconds to go through the process.

Hope this helps!

You're saying I can just paste an image directly into a post?

Thanks! yeah I ended up figuring out how to post an image that way, but I'm used to just using [img] tags.  I guess it will just take some time to get used to doing it this way.
