bernhardt (US1) said:The issue with the FL & BC is not defeating one attack, it's the frequency of them. On top of that, the attacks typically land during the hours I'm virtually never on, so the losses aren't minimized. If you're in a small alliance, you don't get anywhere near the free reward troops to replace the losses. If you happen to this thing called sleep, in this new invention called a bed, you're not online 24/7. Never mind work or having a life outside of this game. It's a game, not a job. Let's just say you're on for 3 hrs a day everyday, and can recruit 7 troops/hr at your main and ops in green. That's 28 troops/hr for 84 troops a day. Meaning it takes 4 days to replace 336 troops. With FL/BC running on a 5 day cycle during the "season" events, you spend way too much time building def troops. If you guess wrong on your offline def set, you can't replace the troops before the next round. The game isn't worth $20 a week(Your personal grudge match may be, but that's another story). The FL/BC would be much more tolerable if they attacked when you're on(if you're on daily) like the RB do, should you miss the RBK for some reason.
If you are only making 7 troops an hour per castle, something is badly wrong with your castles. I make 7 every 12 min at my castles, and it's not just because of high PO. I have houses every where reducing PO greatly (I make 500k coin a day from just one 24 hr tax collection though), so if I took out the houses, I'd make troops even faster. Not sure why it takes you so long, unless you aren't feasting, which is the way to make troops. Since it sounds like you are positive food in most places since you told us you don't have a lot of them, why not just do a max feast every time you log in and make 5x as many troops as you are making now?

its not a player vs player war game any longer the events are old and its the same events over and over
some players are leaveing because they want a player vs player war game with all the events in the game now most players dont attack another real player its not fun to some of us any more.if you like the events im glad you enjoy them
but to me its the same thing over and over
now in the old days before the evets run 7 days a week .you never new what was going to happen

Yes, my numbers were non feast based on purpose, as for many average players it is not option on an on going basis. There are a number of reasons for this: Ops filled with offensive troops that they don't have the coin to replace, food production levels that would take a couple of days to fill the storehouse even if there were no troops eating food to name a couple. Please keep in mind that I'm referring to an average player(say lvl 50 to low 70) who don't have all shiny food ops(or even regular food ops), exclusively granaries, high level bakeries, or the PO to triple output. For these players, who enjoy the game, but can't replace 300-600 def troops every 5 days the constant FL/BC cycle is just brutal, ending their enjoyment, causing them to quit and ultimately costing GGS money.

1. If you have OPs filled with attackers, you should be using them to loot to fill your storages.bernhardt (US1) said:Yes, my numbers were non feast based on purpose, as for many average players it is not option on an on going basis. 2. If someone doesn't have food OPs then it's their fault. You can't blame the game for that.
3. Not having bakeries and PO is not an excuse, you should work to get them if you want to be a good player.

Yes, those are things that GOOD players do, not AVERAGE players. It's hard convincing people to attack the sams and nomads, let alone the rbs like clockwork. As for the bakeries, and PO those take time, patience and work to earn the rubies for bakery upgrades(if you don't buy them), as do the various decos for the PO. Time many aren't willing to put in when they get hit as often as they do by the FL/BC and all they seem to do is put out fires and recruit def. troops. Think AVERAGE player, not good, or what's possible, but average in a nondescript alliance(meaning one that has only a snowball's chance in hell of making top 100 in any alliance type of contest(other than storm).
What I'm getting at is, is that if GGS wants a big pool of players they shouldn't have an event that hurts the average player run more often than the average player takes to recover from it. If on the otherhand all GGS wants are big ruby buyers, and those willing and able to be on 24/7 then they may be on the right track - of course the pool will be much, much smaller.
