Topic: [327346] Back in GGE after around 9 months, not much has actually changed.

  I don't really remember how long ago I kinda stopped playing GGE. I had a pretty good run, stopped at around level 60 or so, after some complications with family. I've come back to the game now and am glad that I appear to have retained a lot of the knowledge I previously had. I sort of plan to do better (not rushing into the Everwinter Glaciers without any resources like last time, not attacking Norsemen w/o resources, also like last time, not recruiting a rich ruby buyer who eventually becomes too powerful and uses his alliance rank to sell half our resources to join the server war, you know, usual stuff). 
  
  I'm currently a level 17 or 18 right now, and things are much smoother where I am. I don't really know what to do with alliances right now, I'm considering joining the local one near me, starting my own, or signing on with a larger more powerful one in the future. As the title suggests, I've noticed virtually no change aside from the troop recruitment and tool production, but I have noticed GGS is still keeping up that reputation, but with all that compensation stuff too.

There's been lots of change and will be more change in the future too!

I'd suggest joining the largest alliance that will accept you. Getting tons of free tools and troops without having to do work is great. Why would anyone want to work for things that are practically lying around for free...
