and IF the GGS staffs are so annoyed by our comments and criticism and are telling moderators to shut us up, then I have something better idea for them. Anyways MAJORITY will not play during this CC, why not completely ban the game itself.(Big Farm is not the only game for Virtual Farming, right?)Before banning me please do send me a message, atleast this can be done, right?[...]
regarding your bolded part, I actually did mention something before: Due to all these discussions around this case, it is planned (not guaranteed yet, but planned) to add a new timer to all events that shows the time before (!) an event starts, so that surprises like this shouldn't happen anymore.
Another option that is under discussion is to build events in a way that automatically scales to their duration, meaning if an event would be only 3 days long, there wouldn't be need to reprogram everything, but the event would automatically adjust the numbers needed to succeed.
Another example, due to the tons of feedback about accidental buys of the new, personal offers, it's now planned (again, not 100% guaranteed) that we'll add at least some kind of delay for windows that might be potentially clicked on accident.
I know in many cases it's not immediately clear that your feedback and criticism actually leads to things, mostly because all the stuff it leads to naturally happens much later than the actual criticism - simply because we need time to come up with a good idea, balance this, build it, test it, etc etc, and by that time, the connection between a new feature and an old problem might be lost to many. I do assure you though that - especially for very intensely discussed problems like this - I will do my best to come to an agreement with the dev team so we can do things better in the future.

While I obviously don't have a real say in the matter, I don't think this Prime Time will show up during the CC. I can't guarantee, but last I checked our calendar, it wasn't there. There may be booster prime offers, of course, but - to my knowledge - no straight-up RP offer.Dharu_89 (IN1) said:@CM Latten
I dont know about other servers but in IN1, CC is an ego competition. We play very hard and dedicated to get to the highest rps count. Its really a big competition for us. So better try not to spoil all the fun and our hard work by introducing "RPS Buying Prime time" offer like u did in the last cc.
Why can't the event be left running? This is what makes no sense. What (and please be specific) is keeping GGS from simply putting the event back to its proper time? Is that you need all 8 "event slots" for the CC or what? What specifically is the problem that is causing this be done? That has never been answered.
We have always had weekly events running throughout the CC before. Will this no longer happen?
Let us not forget that last CC, the RP purchase was called a "favorite offer".CM Latten said:While I obviously don't have a real say in the matter, I don't think this Prime Time will show up during the CC. Mira (US1) said:The problem is that this underhanded way of "testing" things has become so much the norm that your customers don't have any goodwill or faith left that you are actually treating us with respect. As I said, retaining repeat customers requires your customers to trust you and enjoy the way we're treated enough to hopefully recommend the gaming experience to other people.
When all we feel is scammed time after time because these "bugs" are clearly not bugs, but intentional ways to try to trick people who don't know better into clicking on spending gold by accident through giant pop-up windows centered over harvest areas, buying reputation points at the last minute in a supposedly team-oriented "challenge", it destroys the whole purpose of the original gameplay, which was fun in good faith.
Sorry only goes so far. At some point it must be acknowledged that something is clearly not working at all on either the development expectation front or customer communications, and likely both, as support is one of the most unresponsive of any gaming company I've ever supported with cash.
If you actually expect people to continue spending cash on this game, milking people and tricking them into spending unnecessary gold because they didn't know better, mis-clicked, or bought books because you advertised a release as one thing and changed them the next day, is not going to cut it. At some point your customers will correctly realize they are being taken for fools and cut you off.
When you continue to act this way and disregard increasing customer complaints, all we can conclude, likely correctly, is the company is in dire straits and needs to resort to grabbing as much cash as possible before it shuts down, which makes it even less likely we'd want to pour any more money into a sinking ship.
Honestly, this is just business and marketing 101, not to mention basic common sense. So many of us should not have to repeatedly spell it out. I don't even know why I wasted the time to actually tell you these things, as it will likely be ignored again.
Well said!! Hi Lattern
I can understand that you would like to move on from the 'nature' of the debacle or vice versa the debacle of nature though the post about the new fun things to come was probably a little insensitive of those who lost gold or other game assets. As a freeloader, non gold player, I really don't have the rights to criticize the developers/owners of the game however I would like to make a couple of suggestions. I have been playing because I like the challenges re strategy and time management. I don't belong to a co-op because I would feel pressure to play or contribute when I didn't wish to.
1/To me gold is to prop performance eg through the water tower etc rather than replace performance and of course provide for a beautiful farm. Using gold will certainly help one go far but to simply buy results devalues the game.
2/So the nature game was a trial. Then it was extremely poorly thought out for all the reasons players have given. Don't try to defend it, your heart doesn't seem to be in it.
3/There seems to be an undercurrent of profit turned from using peoples addiction to achievement within the game. I hope this is not the case and players take responsibility to opt out of challenges/islands /whatever rather than go under.
Lastly as others have said respect is a mutual commodity.
Cheers mummalou
You must explain that it must be 3days.CM Latten said:The short event is not a bug,
Of course, it must be reasonable for us.
Indeed. Reading that the shortened time was not a bug...was quite disappointing, and I stopped trying for the event all together. Similar lack of motivation with the easter event which i was quite looking forward to, first the promise of new decs, then the old decs were in fact used again, and I lost interest...Jiesta (NL1) said:Mira (US1) said:The problem is that this underhanded way of "testing" things has become so much the norm that your customers don't have any goodwill or faith left that you are actually treating us with respect. I have completely stopped all gold buying already since late last year.. because of several bugs that involved major loss without any compensation despite sending support messages (remember the horse season re-start debacle..). I still do enjoy playing the game now and then, but certainly not satisfactory enough for me to spend real money on it anymore. And with the increased gold-dependent focus to win any sort of event.. meh.
So Im actually quite happy about this passionate upheaval I'm reading. A glimmer of rekindled motivation for the game. I almost wish there was some organised gold-boicott, until GGS stops their random testing.. I know bugs are unavoidable and do pop up, but if there is a major interruption then compensatory gifts would be nice, just a bag of rice or something, anything, to show a tiny redemption towards your otherwise paying customers.
It should be the one thing that is still achievable without gold as a base requirement because even those non-gold players, in as small a player base as you seem to still have, contribute collectibles and progress toward co-op projects that would otherwise be far more difficult or impossible with fewer active members.
Don't forget it's far easier to drive people away out of sheer frustration than to get them back. There's a reason successful companies actually care about customer goodwill and retention, because it's far more costly to market and attract new players than to keep the ones you have who support you. All you achieved with your "test" was one more step towards killing your golden geese.
The complete absence of an acceptable explanation as to why this even occurred, deliberately, with no notice, is yet another indication of how little respect GGS has for its customers. And then you can't seem to comprehend why people are angry. The mind boggles.
Can you do something without saying sorry guys???
If your team have so many mistakes, than your hard work is no good.
Yes I saw merged, but I read through PAGES and only found details about how the event works, not about why it started on a sunday and with only two days to complete. These should be two separate topics.amyk (US1) said:This thread? It says Merged: in front of the title. The moderator must have merged it with this one. I suppose to keep all the comments about the Nature Event together in one place.Artmaker (GB1) said:Ok FOUR TIMES NOW I clicked a thread about this event only being three days long, and it keeps sending me here. WTH?
Now (and I have not even read them all) I see all the angry players, many of which spend real money trying to complete these events, and WTH? WHY doesnt' GG ever TEST ANYTHING HERE before irritating people?
As for me? I don't care. As soon as I noticed only 2 days, I gave up. And since I've been shooting for the higher level prizes, I never can reach them anyway. Usually halfway through I realize it's not going to happen and just play my farm as usual. Only someone with a super farm, 20 cows, 12 apple orchards etc, MIGHT be able to do this without spending gold. Frankly I dont' care anymore.
There is "difficult" and there is Impossible. Certainly NOT worth spending real money for a piece of decor that any super farm doesn't have room to use anyway.
Seems the ONLY way to complete anything here is by spending gold. Can't ever get to the last tasks on the islands, can't get the newer harder decors on any event. I go up against players in missions who have FOUR TIMES the production I have and just walk away. Get a few harvests just to win something and walk away.
It's getting old. There should be a balance, even if difficult to make, where someone can actually finish a given mission, event, challenge, what ever without digging into savings to do it. To me that means you actually failed. Think about it. Could a real farmer dish out a load of cash and get an instant crop? It doesn't work that way.
How do u expect us to finish this task in 5 hrs?
I have 0 gold. And I m nt planning on buying gold. bcoz I am short of money,
I have looked through the latest topics and was surprised i did not manage to find a topic about the duration of this week's mission.
Normally it is about a week. This time it is only three days... Which means more people will spend gold to finish the mission in time. So what is this, an accident or a big farm bonus or did i miss something ?

Because it seems kind of impossible to finish a week mission at level 6 in only three days without spending gold...
Please tell me i'm just nuts and there's no problem

Kind regards,
Whis

Well I will check the other topic also, and wait a decent time for a reasonable explenation, however i have an idea to start a strike on the Nl server to ask all coop leaders to message their members not to play week missions untill there is a reasonable explenation or the time for the mission is restored.
Level 6 missions were pretty much impossible for anyone without gold as it was, three days seems unreasonable to me.
How does GGS expects I complete this event....they should not forget I have a life apart from this gaming

Will the new changes be such a way that this game be no more for those who have college / work / family life? Are the devs planning to take this weekly events in that direction where only full time players or gold spenders can afford to play this game?

Absurd
