I'm at level 36 and completed task 5 last night. It sounds like there has been some confusion about the $ reward for completing task 5 and mine also said a reward of only $6,000 along with the rice. Sure enough, when i completed it, i only got $6,000. Is there a problem with the program in that people at lower levels are getting a higher reward for this task?

Do these events appear often?. They are quite funny even though i did`nt succed, but my farm is quite new. Used to have a big farm in the old game though with a rank in the 3000 nr.

Hi Missup! It is not completely clear yet how often the events will appear. The whole concept is still pretty new, but in the last about 6 weeks, we already had 3 of them, each with a different theme.
The first one was 'Camping with Tessa,' the next one was a fairytale theme and now the Asian event! I like them very much.
A Community Manager already said that Tessa will definitely return one day, so I have good hopes the others will as well. And maybe more in different themes.

My hat is off to the developers. This was a great event. I finished with about an hour remaining. But, it did take a considerable amount of effort and planning. I read the forum msg boards and knew what tasks lay ahead. Even so, I wasn't quite prepared for the cranes. It took a lot longer than I anticipated.
I made a lot of farm dollars and am, in some cases, over stocked on feed.
I enjoyed it greatly!

Yeah, I like them too. Even thoug this event I new I woulnd't be able to finish it due to lack of time.
Still made it to halfway step 5, further than I expected. And even when you don't complete the event, there are still some nice smaller prices to earn each step that you do finish.

Does the goal to collect pig feed 290 times mean "collect 10 pig feed from fertilizer 29 times" or "collect 10 pig feed from fertilizer 290 times"?

I think you have to start the pig barns --I can't remember the exact wording, but i am pretty certain it should read 29. It is task 5 though--at least a few days away i think.

I think it is not at your farm yet--I think they first appear when you are about level 12 (ish).
