uing them like regular soldiers and they dont consume any food either, but if they die they die.

if you attack a castle using shadow soldiers the attack comes from somewhere close to the enemy's castle;not your castle and they dont know who attacked them unless you lose

they are like units by that they dont dissapear, they are unlike units because they dont waste food and when they attack the attacked one dosent know who is attacking him

They come to your castle like Armorers and Traveling Knights. You can hire them for a price of rubies

are you able to use shadow warriors with normal troops?

As far as I know you can't use shadows with normal troops. Also by the way even if you lose the enemy doesn't know who attacked them.:)

So if you get attacked you see the attack coming from a castle close to the attacker, right?

So if you attack nobody can expect that? Even the rubbie players with watchtowers?

I think that to conceal your identity, the shadow mercenaries don't come from your castle, so the defenders can't predict your attack. But you don't get honor or glory form a shadow attack.

Usually you need to have lots of rubies to get shadows, as you need to have a army full, or none at all. 10-50 shadow mecernaries are useless, as they cannot be put with normal soldiers.

the shadow mecenaries attack from thier own shadow camp

I bought a hundred shadow macemen, and personally, I think they are amazing!
Use them too attack robber barons.
They dont need commanders, so I send out 25 attacks of four men, at level 1 rbc's. They cost nothing to send, and eat nothing, so its win win in my opinion. Plus I completed my second travelling knights quest in two rounds of attacks at the level 1 rbcs.
I wouldnt use them against other players though, as they are expensive to buy, plus you have to buy all their tools with rubies. Also, they cannot spy on people. So you would have to spy from your own castle. If you get caught, the opponent is going to know who is likely to be the owner of the shadows attacking them.
