well, eventually youll be able to build sawmill, flour mill and stonemason.
Once you reach level 39 you can research to improve produce. however, before the mills, there's not much you can do but build more stone quarrys and woodcutters. btw later on youll need 5 of each for the building quests

I dont understand attacks between castles. If my towers are not upgraded all the way and I can have all my troops on them, do the rest of my troops just fight in the courtyard? the whole attack system is confusing to me. game doesnt explain it very well. waves, fighting in the courtyard / keep. None of that is explained.

I have increased my encampment to level 2 but am still only showing 3 commanders rather than 6. I also have one sword brother. Is there another step I need take to increase my commanders to 6?

get more sword brothers, on the sword brother page it should tell you how many more you need

I read in another forum that someone commented about being able to trade Ruby's for coins. Is this true?
If it is, is it something that can only be done when the 'trade master' appears at your main kingdom? OR can this be done somewhere else?

You can buy coins using rubies when the travelling merchant is at your castle, or (not with rubies, but with money) you can buy a 27.99$ pack and get certain amount of coins every week (pretty useless if you are a high level).

My question is how can i retrieve my taxes?? It says i am 2 late and now i need like 900 rubie just to retrieve my taxes...is there any other way to do this??

When you send the tax collector to collect taxes you select "X" amount of collecting time.
After that collecting time ends, you have to collect taxes before half of the time have passed.
In other words if you send your tax collector for 6 hours. you have to collect taxes within the first 3 hours after he is done collecting taxes, if you take longer than that, you will lose some income, and the only way to prevent this is don't taking so long to collect them or bribing the tax collector.

When you start the game you have some agents (spies), to get more, you have to increase the level of a tavern (or build a second or a third one), and get active swordbrothers, if you have 3 level 3 taverns and 18 active swordbrothers you have have 15 spies, and at higher levels you can get another 5 for a total of 20.

I would like to attack a Robber Baron. I have many troops in my keep. How do I get them out of the keep and use them to attack?
