One question. If you want to move your main castle (say, to get closer on an alliance you've just joined), what happens to your outpost if you move your main castle? Does it move with you, does it stay connected to your castle, just (1-1000) miles away, or does it go to ruin or something like that?

This is mostly aimed at people who say "search before you ask" not really aimed at the OP, but I feel it needs to be said.
Searching for anything on this forum is futile, might as well read an encyclopaedia looking for a word which has no meaning.
Results of a search give thread, not post, which means every time I search for a question which has been asked on this thread I get the whole thread as a result, yup 80 pages every time, pointless even bothering to do the search because I have to spend 20 minutes sifting thru 80 pages of other questions before I find the one I am looking for because the search settings on this forum are useless.
This thread would have been a good idea, except it isnt, its useless, should have let people open a new thread for each question.
People, stop saying search before you ask, until the search function is made somewhat functional, test me, do a search for anything and tell me how useful the search was before you flame. BTW I use a long tail Google search now.

Exactly what I was about to point out. Not necessarily "use the search function" - just "do a search". Look through the first page of the section you're posting on (if there's a new bug, about half the threads on the first post will have the same title, most suggestions have been covered in the first few pages of that section, or in the list to avoid in the sticky etc.) Use Google if you want.
While a bad search function is an excuse for an idea that only pops up every so often (e.g. mini-games or events/daily rewards decided by luck), it's definitely no excuse for someone asking how to get an outpost, suggesting a coin to ruby transfer option or more capitals. I'll admit, sometimes people get very carried away with the "do a search", but I always try and look from the point of the OP - would it really have been that easy to find a thread with the same subject? Unfortunately, the answer is almost always "yes".

Yes, they can be suspended permanently or for a number of days depending on how serious their rule breaking was.

How do you use the marketplace to trade resources?

How do you use the marketplace to trade resources?
You can send resources to another player's castle. Go onto the world map, click on their castle and then the market barrows.
If you want to trade resources, you will have to agree with the player. Send a private message to someone you trust, asking if they want to swap resources with you. Then agree on the amount of type, and send the resources to the other player. However, this doesn't always work - usually, the player will stick to their word, but sometimes, they might not send the resources over.

So if someone more than 10 Levels above me attacks me they should loose honor?
I was attacked by someone over twice my rank but im pretty sure i lost honor-and most of my soldiers. It is getting expensive to keep up with the loss of soldiers if it keeps going this way I will be out of coins soon. Can anyone survive this game if you're not a ruby buyer?

Yes, the calculation is based on level, but it's mostly on honour. If you have twice the honour of your attacker, chances are, they could be 60 levels above you and they'd still get honour. It's not a very fair system.
And you can definitely survive this game without buying rubies. Lots of decent players have never spent a penny on the game.

^ Excatly. I've been reading in this moronic forum for over 3 hours looking for a few answers that pertained to what I SEARCHED. This is by far the most unorganized, overloaded jumble of crap that calls itself a forum that I have ever come across in a game. I've begun to think this forum was started by a hoarder with 30 cats that thinks everyone has nothing better to do than to read the equivalent of a telephone book to look for answers. 75% of this mess could be solved with ONE thread for beginners that have questions like "How do I make more wood?" or better yet "Who is Robber Baron?" I all wanted was basic info for EW...that's all.
I can't see the forest for the trees...

75% of this forum IS solved with one thread (or a few threads) for beginners - the noobs (and some of the more advanced players) just choose not to listen or can't be bothered to look in the right placed.
I'd tell you to make a new thread asking for the basics on EWG, but you'd be met with about a dozen "do a search"es. Try using Google as a search engine - type ["Forum Goodgame Empire" Everwinter Glacier] or something like that in it.
EDIT: I've followed my own advice and I can snatch little bits of information from various threads. You seem to get about one tiny piece of information from each whole thread (e.g. "You need to donate resources to get there"), but it does work. Hopefully, it's slightly less infuriating than the search engine at the top of this page.

I now see the value of this thread, helpful people are scanning this every day and people seem to get a quick answer, Hopefully someone can answer this for me...
Does the alliance see an incoming attack on a members RV in Glacier, the same as they would for an Outpost? And even does the owner of a RV see an incoming attack?
Thanks in advance.

Jeez, I'm not getting any quick answers
I'll repeat the question for the third time.
What are the major alliances on Australia 1? Just curious..
I'm pretty sure the Seps, EASTERN EMPIRE, and Justice. Any more?
