was just wondering whether more resource villages will appaer as more players enter the world? We are there with 5 players now and since I got there first not one extra one showed up. Is gonna be a battle for the villages as soon as more payers enter if it doesnt change.

Resources villages are designed to be fought over repeatedly. The new world is designed to be competitive - quests definitely have farm houses as the main concern: from following the Everwinter Glacier quests, I have 5 level 8 farm houses and 3 level 7 stone quarries and woodcutters. The occupancy for food is also double the wood/stone occupancy.

However, I think some villages are added when a player joins. It definitely isn't 30 (the limit for a player), but it might be 2/3.

there are 21 villages and only 5 players, all out of the same alliance, and they are all clustered together, and all taken between us. So it will become interesting when other non alliance players enter this world! They havent got a hope atm if nothing changes

How do I find where there is an available resource village? I have been trying to find one for a long time and have had no luck. Can someone show me a screenshot of what they look like? Because all the ones around me are already occupied by people many levels higher than me so there's no possible way I can beat them.

I'm afraid that you are going to have to do one of 4 things:

1. Look for hundreds of miles trying to find one single unoccupied village.
2. Attack an occupied resource village and have to face the consequences.
3. Get to a higher level and then take over the villages when you have a decent army (offense and defence, because they are likely to retaliate).
4. Give up and just survive without a resource village.

This is a war game - GGS meant for this to happen. I don't particularly like it, but everyone who entered Everwinter Glacier below level 50 is likely to have faced this problem.

Not all players that spawn add Villages, I've seen that in the fire peaks lots of times

Ton, remember any questions I know ;) More appear as players come, we will just have to be patient.

I've tried looking hundreds of miles away and see nothing but barren land. Can I get a screenshot of what an unoccupied village looks like so I'll at least know when I see one?

It looks exactly the same but just with out the flag. I cannot provide a screen shot because there are no unoccupied ones.

OK, thanks!

There were no new spawned villages when I arrived, or at least by the time I had built the asset to enable me to capture there were none.

It may be that for certain levels there are no new village spawns, I got there rather late at level 30.

As a footnote, I had no choice but to attack a village in my proximity and hope for the best, some prick had taken almost every village on the map!! The inevitable counter-attack came shortly after and the asset was retaken by them... easily!

Since he is 10 levels higher than me I shifted from focusing on one village to focusing on every village he owned in my vicinity, splitting my forces and capturing as many as I could at the same time (the logic being that he would have to split his forces to regain them fast, giving me a fairer chance to defend). I captured 9 and currently have 2 of those still as mine..... the battle rages on! I will be recapturing more (less well defended) villages today, I have already depleted his attack force somewhat, and I notice he is sending weaker forces against me now.

I feel the beauty of this game lies in the fact that, despite appearing to be outclassed, if you use tactical logic and some cunning, you CAN enact a daring defence.. or even an offence against a mighty foe!

Never give up lads, never give up.......

I was told not to attack the villages because there's sort of an unwritten rule among the players that no one will attack each other out of respect, so I was trying not to do that. I'll just have to keep trying.

Well then that's an unwritten piece of rubbish. This is a war game, you can't just refuse to attack villagers "out of respect". I suggest that you get to level 60 if you aren't already, and then take all the villages you can get.

I've been in Fire Peaks for more than a week now and no new villages have popped up. Almost all villages there are taken by the Bloody Blades and the Regulators or their affiliates. It will be tough to get a foothold there.

Tough, maybe, but not impossible. :)

Well, luckily, I just captured an unoccupied resource village, so I didn't have to go that route (yet). Yay.

But now my question is...what exactly are these resource villages and what are they for? I tried looking in the Game Help and it doesn't say anything. I assumed it was supposed to give me extra resources so that I could get more lumber/stone/food a little more quickly, but all I see is a way to send soldiers/weapons to the resource village. I know I'm supposed to defend my village once I get one, so do I only receive resources after I've defended it?

Also, I am curious to know...is there a way to "trade" your village with someone else? My resource village is VERY far from my castle and it would be a pain having to travel 9 hours each time I need to go there. Is there any way to trade my village with someone who has one a little closer to me, and vice-versa?

They automatically gain you extra resources, depending on what type of resource village it is. You don't have to do anything - they just provide a bonus, almost like another stonemason/sawmill/flour mill. The send/defend is so you can protect your villages from any attacks: people can take over your village if you can't defend it.

You can't trade your village, any more than you can trade resources. However, you could try negotiating with a player - "you empty your defences and i'll empty mine and then we both attack each other's".
