"whats better against farmers in villages?, 2swords or heavy crosses, please confirm,ta "

Don't, or you will set off xJadetsssx and Bobfighter834 again :D

They are so weak makes very little difference anyway.

Incorrect, their defense is 9 against ranged attackers and 9 against melee attackers, so it's the same :p

Incorrect the attack power of those melee attackers I said is way more than the attack power of the ranged soldiers ;), so I am right

@xJadetssx -> Agreed. :)

Looks like im the luckiest one here. When i spawned, i was all around empty resource villages. That got me about 10 food villages. I took a few wood, then many high levelers found us and took them all. Always looking for stone and wood villages, always get taken by a level 45, 50, or 60

What can i do to protect my aonly resouce village from onre of the top 3 alliances in the tournament ? These players are ig enough to capture there own why do they have to stean one from another player who cant defend them selves from someone who is much larger than they are ! This deck in this h=game is stacked in favor of the players who are the highest levels and the largest alliances! they do as they please and you cant stop them! This is not right

Ditto, although it's not actually opinion. The answer is fact.

I would imagine that most if not all players in the top 3 alliances already have at least 5 of each resource village and therefore won't be able to capture any more.

You can put defenders in your villages. In addition, the closer they are to your main everwinter castle and the other villages, the faster you can send support if you are online during a capture attack.

Name one game where players who are higher levels and have spent more effort (or more money in some cases) do not get advantages. I wouldn't play a game where you don't gain anything for levelling up or being active. Besides, you have just as much chance as getting to level 60 as they did. They didn't just appear and become immediately powerful - they worked and they struggled just as you and I did/are doing.

Well then that's an unwritten piece of rubbish. This is a war game, you can't just refuse to attack villagers "out of respect". I suggest that you get to level 60 if you aren't already, and then take all the villages you can get.

If you listen to this guy, you will get all the way to level 60, then have your game ruined. This is extremely bad advice.

Also Bob, if you have a research tower and a level 5 forced march you can support the Villages really quick, and asking alliance help works too

I'm a level 47 with 3 food villages (I could probably get a couple of wood/stone but I want food a lot more than those). I've taken one off a level 60 recently and the other 2 off a player who, at the time, was a higher level than me. It took a bit of effort to find villages that weren't already taken by members of I2TO, but I managed it.

I was offering the player an alternate solution because he/she didn't seem to be able to find any villages that weren't taken by this wing-wing alliance. By level 60, if you can't get a single village, then there is something really wrong with your game plan.

I've seen at least 2 players burned so bad that they have apparently quit the game, because there is no more activity in their castles, all because they tried doing what you are encouraging people to do. They think, I will just take their village and they can't get it back, so there is nothing they can do to me. WRONG!

Lot's of people feel that you take something from them that they can't get back, then they will take something from you, that you can't get back. All those taking Bob's advice better hope you don't steal from one of these players.

When I said the advice, the limit had not yet been lowered. I never mentioned once to take it away from a player with over the limit.

If you quit a war game because you were attacked, you weren't really in the right game. I've heard of games where you can literally be attacked to ruins. Saying "oh no, my castle is on fire" is not an excuse in a war game. I know what you're going to say "well it takes ages to put the fires out and you've obviously not experienced that so shut up", well guess what? I have been thrashed plenty of times. I was almost murdered by a level 40 when I was in my low-20s, and have been sabotaged dozens of times by tons of violent sociopaths who enjoy watching others suffer. But I have always carried on. In some cases, it has taken literally weeks to put all the fires out. But there is no rush. I just tried to be active and put them out whenever I could, and recruited more defenders.

there should be more resoource villages

People like you caused the limit in Everwinter to be lowered to 5 because you can't be bothered to put the time or effort into getting and keeping a resource village. You also caused an increased occupancy rate. Don't reduce make GGS take any further action.

If you can't find a village that's not protected by just a single troop, you're not trying hard enough. Espionage. Look. PUT SOME EFFORT IN BEFORE YOU COMPLAIN.

I've got captured resource villages around me but everyone there is like level seventy and I'm only level 29 D:

That's the answer I have been looking for and until one gets the research tower and ups the ability of each type of soldier, I have no chance of over taking any of the occupied villages around me. Plus most are occupied people in an associated alliance. Question - can you move your castle in the Glacier or any of the other world?

THIS!

Gotta say, I am lvl 35 and just starting Everwinter. I just spent 2 hours and 42 mins searching the map for an empty resource village. I found a couple food villages and no wood\stone. Does that qualify as putting in the time or does it make me completely foolish? <- sarcasm I finally found a resource village 10 1/2 hours from my castle and it is completly surrounded by Lvl 60 players. Just like my castle that is effectgively 3 weeks away. I may not be the brightest bulb on the tree but I'm seriously challenging the theory that I am going to be able to maintain that village for very long. I'm also seriously challenging the notion that my non-research tower defenders are going to stand a chance against the ('slim') possibility of picking off a resource village of the countless lvl 60s that surround my castle. Forget about the notion of alliance retaliation.

I get this is a war game. To that end, if I could get a resource village inside a 1/4 mile of my castle, develop it and have it taken over by another player I would be fine with the continual effort of trying to get it back etc. But the strategy of trying to do this when your castle is 10 1\2 hours away in the middle of players\alliances much larger than you is laughable at best. To the point of not even trying until you are lvl 60. You won't get any experience by waiting but at least you get to build a castle in that world and beat on other lvl 60 players. It would just be easier to not unlock the world until you are lvl 60.

Ton's question has been answered, now what is the use of this thread?

Just a quick update ...

I took the advice of grabbing resource villages near me and sure enough within 12 hours I get emails from the alliances (filled with lvl 60 members) declaring war against my alliance. Now, every member in the alliance in every world is being attacked. And I no longer have an alliance.

The answer to grabbing resource villages before lvl 60 is most definitely a resounding NO!
