Hmmm, not bad, but I think it could be ammended even further:
1) People who understand how to play this game
2) People who don't

This is a game filled with 10-20 year olds, I haven't met anyone below that age but I have been in an alliance with many members over the age of 30.
I think there is a global issue with spelling and grammar and this game highlights that for me.
Yes there are people with spelling and grammar issues but there are also a lot of players who's first language is not English (or American English).
But for those who seem unable to spell the word alliance, there's no excuse. The correct spelling of alliance can be clearly seen all over this game and on this forum.
I think 100 rubies should be deducted from anyone who misspells the word alliance.

Well said Baldrick; as an English teacher I am dismayed by the declining standards in grammar and spelling. But as someone who lives in a different country to where they were born I am also sensitive to the problems for non-native speakers. I think people should try to make a distinction between the two before they attack someone their poor lingustic skills.
And the 100 ruby fine for incorrect spelling of "alliance" is genius
Can we also have the same for anyone who starts a completely pointless thread, perhaps it could be sent to the people who wasted a minute of their lives reading them? ^^

Wow Baldrick. I dont know how much 100 rubies is to you, but it is a lot to me. Im only 11 years old and Im a level 38. I understand every aspect of the game, with no help from parents. I used to have 1500 honor when i was level 36, which is quite commendable.

I wont even get out of bed for less than 10,000 rubies.
My post wasn't any any way a slur on young people or their spelling skills. I just think that everyone, whatever age or nationality should be able to spell the word alliance. It's not like they haven't seen that word before, it's written all over the place. I think it's just laziness.
The same goes for these examples:
M8 - this is actually a motorway that runs from Glasgow to Edinburgh in Scotland, it's not a word.
Wot, resoures, allince - One more letter and everything would have been okay.
Misspellings of the word alliance - allince, allience, aliens (really?), allianz, I could go on...
I still use Google if i'm unsure of the spelling of a word. If I ever have to write in a foreign language, I always check the spelling first.
Rant over

I can honestly say that I have never talked to a person in game whose first language was not English and who didn't use near perfect English. I have seen a person on the forums who couldn't speak English properly because it was not his/her first language, but that's about it.
I have also seen thousands of terrible mistakes. How hard is it to use the word "ruby" instead of "rubie", "rubble", "ruble", "rubbie", "rubiy" or "rubiny" when you are English and have spoken the language for years? And don't get me started on people who just don't understand their own language - I received a message saying "Thats what I", replied saying "Could you please explain what you meant by your previous comment?" and was told "U no what i says right becus i said It write". The person was English.

I'm not sure what it's like over in WWW2 (doesn't that sound a bit like King George VI trying to abbreviate world war 2?) but over here I would say that at least 50% of the players are not native English speakers.
I agree with you on everything else.
Also, I absolutely refuse to answer any messages written completely in capitals.
Anyways, I'm off to spay on a resores villig than my allince Z gonna extriminate thimz all.

Well I'm going to put the average age up because I'm 67. Admittedly I haven't a clue what I'm doing but I'm 67.........Perhaps I'm following too many objectives

Never mind when I'm unsure, I still use Google if I'm 99% sure of the spelling but someone spells it differently.
FYI, I'm a terrible speller, but even I can spell right when I put my mind to it. It took me about 6 years to learn how to spell "definite" (although I've been able to spell "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" since I was about 5).

We are not saying anything against young people, this has become a topic for those who are unable to grasp grammar and spelling.
Unfortunately, you qualify for both.
Sorry, I really tried but I couldn't resist it

I did, so did everyone I know.
And who mentioned smoking/drug taking? We are attacking poor standards of grammar and spelling, not your personal habits. On that note, have you ever heard of capital letters or punctuation? Since you fail to use either in your post. And it's "discriminating", which I didn't need to look up because I know how to spell.

I really think critize other people grammar or something like that is unnecesary, unless, you don't understand anything they say for that reason...

I really didn't want this to turn into a personal thing so I think we should stop posting on this thread.
Mods, can you please close this thread? There's no real question about the game so it doesn't qualify as a thread in the first place.
Apologies to anyone I may have offended, or anyone who has been offended by anyone else.
Peace

since there is no expilicit content and there is no hard strategy that a 5 year old couldnt handle I dont see why this is a problem. In fact i thought there would be more kids as goodgame empire is advertised highly on miniclip and is a animated fun game. Most adults dont have time to play these games because of work. And just because this game could cost alot of money if you were a ruby player, kids can make money to, just not as much. They could also just have rich parents or very genorous parents or parents got you some rubies just because you asked.
