I have seen several player with 4 outposts recently, but am lvl 60 and can't get the 4th one myself yet. Does anyone know what you need in order to be able to get one?

You cannot get a 4th outpost unless you capture a capital. You cannot get a 4th normal outpost.

No one is aloud to have 4 outposts. Maximum number of outposts players can have are 3, you might have seen a capital (which is a new installment (update) in game) and even 1 player is not allowed to have a capital. Only an alliance is able to have or conquer a capital

There are two other Kingdoms you can get villages in, Kingdom of Everwinter Glacier and Kingdom of The Burning Sands. That might be what you saw.

Look at the player ben01 in US1 map, then tell me if that's a resource village or an outpost, and it's not a capitol either.

He has 4 outposts. It was a glitch. GGS shut down the 4th one this morning. You can only have 3.

I am now still looking at his 4 outposts... wow it must be tough in that neighborhood... just check out the castle name at 652:652 ... HILARIOUS!

Really rare.
It's not "really rare". It's a bug or a hack. Tell the alliance member that if he did not somehow hack into the game and give himself 2 castles in Everwinter to contact support. If he did hack into the game, contact support yourself and tell them that.

It's not a bug or hack, getting two villages in one kingdom is an achievement objective. And I heard you were allowed to have up to 30 villages in one kingdom (that's what I've heard, not saying I know it's true, would like someone to correct me if I'm wrong). Anyone know if that's true?

Wow, this was a mistake posting here, I wasn't asking if you can have 4 outposts. (It's a fact that you can!)

We are not talking about villages; we are talking about actual main castles. It is not a part of the game - you can only have 1 main castle in each kingdom (even in The Great Empire, you can only get 1 main castle and 3 outposts... well, and a capital).
However, your information was correct. There are achievements for getting 2 and 10 villages (and probably 30 at present, although that's going to change with the next update). The limit is currently 30 villages - a maximum of 10 of each type. But the limit is going to change with next week's update - 15 (5 of each).

Well he was talking about a 4th outpost, not a main castle. And when you go into someone's information page the villages look the same as any other outpost. And ok, I wasn't sure so thank you for clarifying that for me.

So I have figured out how to get this 4th outpost, I'm not sure if this is going to be part of the game or this is a bug.
Please don't ask me how to get it since if this is actually a bug it will soon get fixed and I don't want it to spread.
I only have this 4th outpost because many other players have them as well and I want to be able to compete and in case this is part of the game I would like to have a head start on building it up.
If this is a bug I hope they ask all players to abandon their 4th outpost and will remove it from the game. I don't mind if they do that since I believe this game has enough in it already. A moderator has been notified and therefore the developers will decide what to do with it.
