i am a level 34 i have 6 farms 4 at level8 and 2 at level 4 i have 160 troops in main all four food and dfense is this really good our really bad my frined i am talking to is level 35 has 500 troops and 10 level 8 farms should i be like him/her or not ?????(?(

Your choice. You need to decide a tactic. Do you want to get all your castles finished and then get an army, or sustain an army throughout the game and finish your castle slower? Are you an offensive or a defensive player? We can't tell you what is right or wrong, because there is no right or wrong. Do what you want.

i am defesive and i like to build my castle up frist but i still try to get heaps of troops, i alos try as much as i can to increase my farms by po and also my friend is a rubie buyer is that advantage

Well, "ruby buyer" means absolutely nothing. Are we talking about 10,000 rubies or 10,000,000 rubies bought?
Anyway, buying rubies will give people an advantage. Duh. Otherwise no-one would pay anything. GGS have to offer an incentive for people to pay for this game since it is F2P.

Tell her to buy level 4 bakeries in all 7 castles before anything else. And since she has a maximum of 5 castles and isn't a high enough level to get level 4 bakeries, tell her to save them for level 4 bakeries before wasting them on travelling knights and shadow.
Shadow troops are fine. Travelling knights? How stupid. It's not hard to get the relic, and it saves you 10,000 rubies.

Umm...
I would have said 5 farms in main. That's fine. Maybe get 5 woodcutter and stone at max level in there.
Whatever your maximum occupancy rate is in your outpost, add 2 to it and get that number of farms. So, with a shiny food, get 10. In a wood/food one, get 4.
This is just a suggestion for now. At the end, I recommend that you have 7 more farms than the maximum occupancy in that castle.

Either you are lying or, more likely, the level 39 sent a martyr attack to lower their honour (back before the honour glory bonus, all honour did was lower the number of people you could get glory from).

yep im going to believe you that is the biggest lie i have evered here and the more farms you have the less food you porduce so you need po to increase it and by the way i cant get my farms to level 9 yet

WRONG.
Let's say I have 20 farms. I add a 21st. I now produce more food.
However, each farm produces less than the previous one. Let's say the first 3 farms in my main produce 10 food. The fourth will produce 7.5 food. It still increases the production, but not by as much.

And you could produce more food by adding a Decoration than another farmhouse
