Division are alliances which are unofficially part of the original alliance. When the max no. of members are reached or the member expansion costs are too high to reach, players will then create sister alliances who help each other out (supposedly lol xD) like any normal alliance (again, supposedly :P).
Btw, KingWhiteFang, don't you think 10 branches in a month is rushing it a bit...? Just my 2 cents...

I agree with ProStrategos, wouldn't ten in a month be pushing the boundaries a bit? You don't want to get too spread-out or separated from your sister alliances, would you?

Both valid points, but every strategist knows about over-expansion - wouldn't it be better if you allowed members to bond (know each other, gain each others trust and respect) before introducing new members? If you place every together at once, there may be communication issues, disagreements/misunderstandings, etc. Just my opinion, but you still should be careful, and pay attention to recruits...

Thats right. For example, Genghis Khan. He expanded the Mongolian Empire from the East China Sea to the Dunabe River in Europe. But after he died, the very empire of Mongolia broke itself up somehow into the countries we know today. Same happened to the old British colonies and territories. It almost happened to the Officers United at one point thats why the OU shut down its usa and uk 1 divisions.
