Martincy, yes, yes, and okay.
If somebody has promised to play in a certain manner, and they don't keep that promise, then I can certainly see taking action against them.
On the map being "for fighting," that's where I think the rub is - are we going to fight, or are we going to make a sometimes-amazing (and frustrating to players who fully and truly want to play this wargame) hierarchy of extra rules?
I'm not saying there is anything wrong with doing it their way - it's totally in the eye of the beholder.

i think my friend we need to keep good sportsmanship, i think having respect for yourself and other players is important, no point hitting young players with poor castles ....
there a lot of banter in the game ie forum and messages. but as a player, farther and a adult i like to think iam doing my best as a leader to make my alliance and wings grow strong with some respect.
alliances that are big will always get moaning and growing from smaller alliances about hits.. but most players hit for points only not personal feelings.. keeping morale high and playing with good friendly advice is my way and thats what i pass down to my players.

Good post, Martincy. I agree about hitting players who are just starting the game, etc. As long as they don't "start it" in some way.
There are endless times when, for example, the leading alliances in the Glory Tournament will get all sorts of wacky, tiny alliances declaring war on them.... There may be an update to prevent this, but in the past if I've needed to drop Honor or get more Food, they are among the first targets.
And sometimes there will be one annoying little bugger (who was undoubtebly not spanked nearly enough by his parents) who just needs to burn, plain and simple.
