Everyone does it really, I'm not one to judge in fact i'm happy with my feathers and lucky pennies from coming in top 20 so i'm not complaining. I do agree it is quite a dirty way to play but there isn't any rules and as of now it is perfectly fine to use this tactic. In general Alchemists are a really powerful alliance and can pull off reports with 1mill+ glory. So if you can't beat them, join them. Invite please  :p

@SKINK (AU1)

HOW IS IT A DIRTY WAY TO PLAY ???

no-one has told me this.  What would you prefer that all the top players on the server buy demons etc and destroy all the mid ranked and lower alliances.  Is this a cleaner way for them to play in your books, more honorable ??

You think they are not capable of pulling apart alliances by them self ??  Hards could do that if he chooses to, one player could decimate the server buying demons and sending non-stop with 6 waves to get the win against the rrest of the server, would that be a cleaner way for an alliance to win ?

From CM Popeye regarding glory hits from alliance tournament, says it all really

CM Popeye said:
This kind of boosting is not technically against the rules, but I have to agree that it is a super sad way to win in the game. It is not the way we want people to play of course, but there is also no rule against it currently. Maybe this is something that needs to be looked at more closely by the game team to see what we can do about getting it out of the game.

@SKINK (AU1)

Would you prefer I chase easy glory or more specifically Seps/Chemists chase easy glory against mid level alliances and send bulk troops at them to get the win ??

End result is the same thing, the server crys that we are bullys or not playing above board because as @Nemhain (AU1) highlighted were more active in recruiting or spend more on buying demons or the combo of both ??  I can tell you the server wouldnt like that and with the frequency of these events it most likely wouldnt recover either.

About every 2 weeks we get a new alliance tourney?  Either way those at the top still predominantly end up winning and the others end up crying.  So, you give me a solution where someone doesnt point the finger having an tantrum at us....

I can tell you 10 ways they can counter this action, and 10 more ways around those 10 ways.

As long as the requirement is points. The people who get the most points will win. As long as those points can be bought. The people with the money to buy those points will win.

Lesky taht seriously looks legitimate to me, guy just cant defend for crud

bit like me at times..... I get stressed and dont know what to do!!!

was pretty much 1 wave of tools and the rest flags

That's not strictly true, Lesky. Stevo2 is in my alliance and I can show you the battle report. It was six waves. You may have wiped out his defences on the wall in the first wave, but your horrors and castellan did all the work in the courtyard. Stevo was not online at that time of the night, so the supporters sent what they could in an effort (albeit a sadly pathetic one) to assist. I agree, he should not have had all his defence sitting at the front, and his castellan is not at the standard which would be capable of withstanding an attack from a commander and force as strong as yours, but you can't truly, honestly say, you beat him with just one wave and some flags.

We do the best we can considering we all have lives and not a lot of money to waste on virtual gems.

Don't gloat about how you can attack and win against someone who obviously doesn't have the time or the money to waste that you obviously do, on something that is actually just a game, when all is said and done.

Me saying the rest flags, was meaning the rest of the waves filled with flags. That attack didnt cost me rubies, and i didnt pay rubies for the gems (winning this event we are talking about brings in the gems haha). the commander cost rubies, not my best commander either, so maybe you got let off a bit?
I messaged everyone in ur alliance ranked general and above with over an hours notice to send support, players messaged me back not believing me... asking "where am I really hitting" like a need to trick u guys into supporting somewhere :/

IT GOES TO SHOW THAT THIS GAME HELPS THOSE MORE THAT SPEND HEAPS OF MONEY TO VICOUSLY  ATTACK NORMAL DOWN TO EARTH PLAYERS......THESE COMPETITIONS NEED BETTER THOUGHT GO INTO THEM AND BE FAIRER.....GAME LEADERS.....LOOK INTO YOUR CHARGES /RUBIES TOO EXPENSIVE FOR MOST PEOPLE....AND THAT IS JUST SMALL PART OF THE GAME YOU NEED TOO LOOK AT.......YOU GAME LEADERS/DEVELOPERS DON'T CARE FOR THE  UNDERDOGS ETC...AND DON'T EVEN REPLY TO SUPPORT EMAILS WHEN IT COMES TO BEING TO EXPENSIVE FOR A GAME THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE FREE......SHOW CARE/COMPASSION......AS THESE PLAYERS THAT SPEND HEAPS DON'T CARE EITHER....JUST SO LONG AS THEY GET THE POINTS............

@LizGamer (AU1)

We were allied with whatever your alliance is, we decided to take the game on, as a result we ended our pact with you. The game isnt about spending money (although I know how much it helps) but actually playing the game would be a start, go hard in nomads, buy the horsetails, get the glory. The latest update where GGE made building mantlets quicker is a massive boost for non ruby players, get around it or get off.

you gave them an hours notice and they still supported...  That is a new way of doing it to get Glory lol

ow wow....

@Lesky (AU1) Thanks for the clarification. But don't forget, I did mention the value of time in playing this game. You may have given the alliance an hour to respond, but obviously at that time we still could not see your incoming. Can you blame the respondents for replying to you to ask if you were truly attacking one of ours, and if it was in reality the person you had mentioned? We have been duped before and it is no surprise to be sent these types of messages and then they be completely false and misleading.
You beat the defenders with what you had - it was far superior to what we had. We are not complaining about the loss - shit happens. We are complaining that you (and apparently others) find it funny that it happened. There are people here who are not as good at defending (or attacking for that matter) as you - if they were you (and other high level players) would not be at the level you are - you would be well and truly average.
It's not just you, Lesky. It is all of the high level players who think it is funny when a low level/average player is beaten to a pulp by your level of player and then boasts about the win, when there really was no other outcome.
Wouldn't it be more constructive to perhaps send us some feedback or guidance as to how we can improve? If you truly want more players to be more competitive, rather than dropping out of the game because it is just too hard, why don't you offer them tips and hints? With all your experience and obvious skills, this would be far superior and more sporting than pointing a finger at a loser and mocking them. You don't know what you don't know. Help us to learn what we should know.
Oh, and before anyone tells us what to do, not everyone comes on to the forum to learn these tips and tricks either. It is their choice and nobody has the right to tell them they are fools for doing so.

I send people messages with tips all of the time. I also am totally open to being asked questions. I have always been willing to teach people to play. You seem to be having no problem finding the time to come to forums to gripe, but you can't browse forums to learn how to succeed? You can't take the time to message high ranking players to ask for advice?

That's our fault?

Please.

Hi @Perryl (AU1)
thanks for your feedback too. I have to say, in my experience, there are a lot of high level players who don't want to have anything to do with anyone who is not of their status. I have often tried to message players who have attacked me, or who I feel might be able to provide some advice, but receive either a gruff response or none at all. So I have given up. There are some who are helpful, but not all of them are super helpful, and only offer what they are willing to sacrifice or what is reasonably commonly known.
I am not always on here to gripe - if you look at my profile I don't come on here very often at all. But when I feel there is an issue I would like resolved I will tackle it like a terrier.
I do try to come on here to find answers to my failings, but there is so much noise in these strings, that any searches bring up so much waffle, it is like trying to find a whole cherry in a bowl of apple sauce. On the odd occasion I will find a piece of information that is useful. But often it is extremely difficult to apply it to my own profile because I don't have the time, resources, coins, rubies or whatever to achieve it.
And just for the record, have you ever contacted anyone in our alliance and offered advice? If so then thank you, but that advice must not have been forwarded on to the other members of our alliance.

Edit 1. Oh and by the way. I am a touch typist so it doesn't take me long to write up these responses. I don't spend much time on here at all.

Midnight,

dont compare us to other big players, we are us, they are them. sure we play to win, and have the confidence to attack some players without tools but I actually didnt want to get those troops back, couldnt feed them, so you werent the only alliance I visited.... just unlucky that a storm cloaks multi got hold of the screenshot and posted it on forums.

You have to also consider that many parts of this game are badly coded. With terrible limitations. If I'm hitting it's very easy to miss a PM, or accidentally delete one. Most high ranking players get a ton of spam from the game. For me, if I don't answer your message I probably never seen it.

I agree, the forums suck. They are quite difficult to navigate because of how terribly they are built and I agree, there is a ton of clutter.

Not having the time is the problem. If you don't have time to loot better equipment and to get points in events then you will find it difficult to succeed in this game. Production will only get you so far. I'm not saying you need to buy rubies, you don't, but if you don't buy rubies you need to spend something that is far more valuable. Time. If you're smart about it you can really make 30 dollars go far.

I don't even know which alliance you're from. You're not on my radar at all, sorry. I also don't see why it would matter. I contact who I want as I see fit. It's not my job to be a GGE wiki, but if someone is interested in learning then I'm happy to answer questions they have.

Instead of just coming here and complaining, next time onwards, why dont you guys try that?
They sacrifice their defs for a good position in ally tournament.
You guys just come here complaining.
Next time why dont you guys give it a shot huh?

This is a strategy game, I am correct so far I think. I joined Alchemist a little while back. Why are they good is very simple for me as a newbie - they cooperate, they use the tools available cleverly, and they are active. And expect activity, loyalty and play it as a game. There is clear and concise leadership, arguments are done in the open which means transparent, as with every group there is conflict but it gets resolved.

in a few words - Experienced, supportive, proactive, determined, focused, share and work together - A team

and they do not win everything - they win some - but top 5, and they/we are there

[4413605] JJJJJJSK (AU1) [None] :: May 11, 2016, 4:35 a.m.
Best advice, esp those players that are hitting you and see how they defend...  Have a look at those offline setups.  MKake that your standard however know that their is no substitute for an online defense.

First thing I would say is we (Seps) and I cant speak for Chemists or other bigger/active alliances but ill throw it out anyway....  That casta, would NEVER receive support to hold against a 4 wave attack let alone a five wave.  If its a 6 wave attack then forget it....  That goes for any large alliance on the server.

Defending isnt about defending EVERYTHING, game mechanics make that impossible.  Defending is about picking and choosing what you defend and having a stratergy to defend as well when you do it.

I was on the other night had 3 incommings on me, didnt defend a single one of them although I had 3k defenders to defend each if i decided to defend in the respective realms, I defended OTHER people.  If those attacking attacked into the one place where I had real casta, I would have defended, but for the most part defense is about pickign when you can win and deciding when you are going to loose.  Also about prioritising others before yourself.  Not a huge amount of players on the server do this and it shows.

If I'm playing in an alliance with Lesky, he has a better casta than me, the result is, I defend Lesky over myself EVERY time to minimise the amount of troops I loose and we loose as an alliance.  Sucks that I get some fires, but defending like attackign is about being as efficient as you can.

As to getting advice, loot, when you have finished looting, loot some more and then some more.  If you dont like looting, then im sorry your behind the curve already, without looting you cant feed troops, do well in events and so many other things.  Loot loot and mor eloot is the answer on a very basic level.
