do tax quest and attack robber barons are some of the best and quickest ways to get rubies-i've got at least 50 rubies merely from tax quests alone, and you also get coins and resources. There are many other ways to get rubies as well as buying them!

Don't forget to log in everyday and you also get 70 rubies every week.

there you go plus you don't need rubies to play and you have to have like 0 honor to not get attacked and if you are a low level you might be ruins by then anyways

are you talking about a robber barron and a barbarian tower? because you can't even earn them from a barbarian fortress. it always shows you what symbols you can earn even if you take nothing home and the barbarian fortress has no ruby symbol. ex: a robber barron or a barb tower will still show ruby symbol with +0 rubies where as the fortress has no symbol at all.

This can be helpful but unless your buying them this doesn't help the alliance enough. you are far better using it on things like a bakery first and then stables upgrade.

The rubies will be shown only when your soldiers are carrying the loot back to your castle. That is to avoid sending the combact report of how many rubies you obtained to every player.
I expect that is done this way because GGS considers rubies to be the equivalent of real money, maybe?

What I would do if I was an alliance leader is have my members make like 1-20 soldiers a week that are stationed at an outpost so that they can be like an alliance platoon that you cannot use to attack robber barons, only for player fights. A very wise alliance leader who has quit the game said that an alliance is only as strong as its weakest member. That is correct, as I would rather have a player with traveling knights and bakeries and stuff that can be useful in a war than a player who donates so much, he weakens himself to practically nothing.

When you attack a level 3 robber baron castle or higher you will get rubies. I make 5000-7500+ rubies a week just attacking the Robber Baron Castles. Try attack them even with 5 attacks i got 100+ rubies.My friends badgoodgod said that you can earn rubies attacking robber baron castles earlier.

then why does it show + 0 on any other attack? for example barbarian towers and robber barrons?

the barb fortress appears just as if you had attacked a player except it returns coins as well not just resources. the players return no coins icons and no ruby icons. the barbarian fortress returns no ruby icon.
I don't think it is possible to earn rubies from fortresses. prove me wrong anyone actually got rubies from hitting the forts?

wrong!u MIGHT GET RUBIES,but it is EXTREMELY RARE!!

Is not rare..But if your robber baron castles are low level than is rare but if they are higher 12+ you get rubies:)~Delta

Well my robber baron castle is something like level 13 and i get about 6 rubies each time i attack them
26 attacks a week
X 6
= 156.
I earn 150 + rubies every week but spend them all on medicos and marauders

Unless you rarely go into battle i suggest you do the same

I would suggest that you login everyday as not only do you get Rubies , but you also get some rescorces. I havent tryed the thing where you log out for 2 weeks and and you get a reward bonus for your citezens so im not sure if it works.

IS BETTERTO DO THE TAX QUESTS,since you get about 20 rubies and either about 2000 wood or 2000 stone and 800 food

u get 50 rubies for goingto everwinter(which is slightly insanity since u have to donate alot(7000 wood,7000 stone,5000 food and 5000 coins)

the biggest benefit for you would be to donate rubies to ur alliance,oike i did.im aiming to get the alliance either the bonus(500)or increase members(875)

I have never spent 1 ruby.
I have given 2000 to my alliance,
and i still have 1426 + I am only level 33.

also to maximus i found out the hard way that if you stay off for your level # of days +1 more you are turned to ruins (e.g. level 10+ stay off for 11 days and your in ruins) so that is one of the most idiotic ideas ive ever heard and i live with an idiotic 8-year old!

I got a friend"MaximusKlieth", he did it and he is on level 20 and he earned rubies and created an alliance.
he didn't turn in ruins.
Plus, there is a player on level 6 and is inactive for the past 3 months.
