[PHP]Can this stragety work on robber baron castlesAlways send all waves.
Never send less than 4 waves. If you think you can beat him with 2 waves, take the advantage. Send one spearmen on the first two waves, to take out his precious tools (flaming moat) to make him sort of sad/angry ( I wasted a flaming most in there!). You're even more lucky if they have only 2 on each flank. Use the spearmen as a sacrifice to use those tools, then heavily arm yourself with full 2 waves.
PS. If they have 4 of each tool on every flank, send one spearmen on every wave to lessen it. Seconds after, use your real attack to regain the honor you lost in the first one. You get even more than you lost.
Hopes this helps!

Sorry I wasn't very clear. I meant that i'll remove my tools if i'm going to be online for a while. And i'd definatly save armory tools for when i'm online and can see if they'd be needed to win the battleBobFighter834 wrote: »I don't mean to be rude, but that's a very bad idea. Incoming attacks are only detected if you are online within 30 minutes (or thereabouts, varying on distance, horses, watchtower etc.) so unless you are online 24/7, keep your tools up. Okay, maybe you shouldn't put your best tools (armourer or ruby) up, but at least the resource tools.

"when there is an incoming attack look at their formation and change your defences to whatever you think is best"
I did that once on a guy and he got thrashed then!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I am a level 27 and I'm able to recruit longbowmen and halberiers. Of course their recruitment speed is very long and expensive. Is it a big enough of an advantage to make a majority of them my defensive army? Should I recruit any spearmen and bowmen? Same with my offensive recruits? Should I make a majority of them twohanded swords and heavy crossbowman? Thanks for the advise!

YES, YES, YES.
ALWAYS recruit the STRONGEST TROOPS YOU CAN, whether that's longbowmen or knights of the kingsguard. However, you may also want to produce some of the weak troops PURELY FOR MARTYR WAVES. (If you don't know what martyr waves are then just ignore that last sentence because you won't need to know that.)

i saw this advice in another thread, but it will fit in well here, sorry i can't remember who the original poster was. "save rubies for building and upgrading your bakeries, dont use them on decorations and speeding up buildings." rubies are a bit hard to amass at the early stages, especially if u can't buy them. bakeries do more for increasing food production than decorations, and a higher food production means you can recruit more men.

Send tools and use loads of men.

Here is a tip. Depends much on your defence preference but if you have an equal amount of range and melee soldiers, and have a 50-0-50 setting, only use fire arrows in all three slots (Moat protection is always good btw)
