Another way of getting free coins is buying the Scimitar on the nomad event. It costs 50 tokens, and each of those is worth 150 coins so it is equivalent to 7500 coins.
Then go to your armourer and sell it, because it is unique it sells for 12,000 coins.
i know that this is only a couple of k free coins but if your really hard pressed for coins you might want to do this

except you can only buy one scimitar each event...

and you'd be better off simply looting coins from nomads, if you can get khan tablets, you can loot coins...

The best way to get coins is by playing events like samurai and nomad.

They give a shit tons of coins and maximum food.

Low loss too, if you use mantlets and a perfect ranged commander!
