I have a question. I have a challenge to have 25 defense troops. How do I get them? I have tried recruiting and that doesn't do anything.
Thanks.
Thanks.

How to you make your Outpost "Shiny" and what is the significance of that?

Polish it with very fine steel wool, and then use a good quality wax. ^^
To be serious, on the 'Empire' map you will see some Outposts that have two little "starbursts" on them, like they are "shining" - those are Shiny Outposts. You don't do anything to make them that way, you just take them like any Outpost. They give increased amounts of resources, versus the non-shiny type.
To be a serious player in this game, you want to end up with 3 Shiny Food Outposts.
Best mix is 2 of them being the Food/Wood type, and 1 being Food/Stone.
While you need more Stone, overall, as you build your castles and do Researches, those tasks come to an end. The need for tools never goes away - if for nothing else than looting Robber Barons and towers for Coins and Equipment for your Castellans and Commanders. For tool making, you need more Wood than Stone, and thus 2 of your 3 Shiny Food Outposts having Wood, too, is best.

You don't "make" your outpost shiny. There two types of outposts: normal Outposts and Shiny outposts.
For example you can have a normal wood Outpost or a Shiny wood Outpost.
Normal outposts have a resource occupancy of 6 for a certain resource (food/wood/stone) and 2 occupancy for another resource (both resources cannot be the same and one of them must be food).
A shiny outpost increases the occupancy of the resource from 6 to 8.
So for example: a normal food outpost would have 6 Food and 2 Stone/Wood. A Shiny Food Outpost would have
8 Food and 2 Stone/Wood.
Shiny OPs are much better than normal OPs.

Question: Following the suggestion given by the "Seek enemies for honor" button on the menu bar, I attacked a couple of outposts near me (I was lvl 10, they were lvl 13). Now I am getting emails from people telling me I'm a loser for attacking outposts, and that I should attack the main castle. Is there some unwritten rule against that or are these peeps just whiners?

Most people keep attackers in OPs, but you're allowed to attack OPs.

Thanks for the replies. I'm new (3 days) and still figuring things out. There seems to be a un-published set of rules people are playing by. And when I asked about stuff in my alliance chat, I got responses like "don't bug me" or "only noobs don't know that". Well YEAH, I'm a new player, but how do I learn this stuff? Grrr. Stupid Alliance. I need to find a better one.

The main unwritten rules are:
1) Don't steal RVs
2) Don't capture capitals/metros/towers
3) Don't attack OPs??
I am not sure if there are anymore because I can't think of them right now.

I have some questions:
1. What is the formula / calculation for how public order translates to or contributes to the productivity percentage? I can't figure it out from just looking at various numbers I had.
2. Is there a level where more than 3 buildings operate at 100%? At level 14, it seems 4th building is 75%, 5th is 56% and so on. Also what is the formula for the sequence of the percentages?
3. What determines how many towers there can be? It looks like not only level but also the disjoints on the wall allows a tower to exist (or perhaps that was due to extending the walls?)
4. Is there a way to recruit Traveling Knight & Traveling Crossbowman (without spending rubies)? Also curious about the same for Renegade Cultist Warrior & Renegade Cultist Bowman.
5. Is there a way to pause the game?
6. Is it possible to delete a game account? (or the closest that can be done to quit the game, something better than just abandoning & (trying to) never logging in.)
If level info is needed, feel free to consider for level 14.
Thanks!

1. I'm not sure about that answer.
2. In your main castle, No, only 3 building produce 100%, as you go on further it will recue to 75%, 54% then so on, while in OPs, you may have 6 or 8 building producing 100% depending on the OP resource type
3. It depends on the space you have, if you upgrade your space you will have more towers
4. I don't think so there is a way to recruit them, however they are available as event prizes
5. Nope
6. Just don't log in for a few weeks and the account will be deleted automatically, or you can also contact support if you want it straight way

Ok I've done everything wrong for the first 7 days. I didn't even read anything, just jumped in & started pounding away. Now my 7 days are gone, I'm level 15 & took over someone else's outpost. I did make multiple posts in the forum on day 2 & 3. No one answered any until yesterday. I was read the riot act, had my wrong doings pointed out & I have started to make corrections & amends. But I still have MUCH to learn. What is meant by 0-0-100 or the opposite? What are each of the 3 sections representative of? I am asking you random31, as your question screams you know. If anyone can explain it before I become extinct, Please speak up.

0-0-100 is the ratio of defenders in your castle (0% of troops on left, 0% troops in middle, and 100% of troops on right)/ This means all your defenders are on 1 side, allowing the maximum defense of that side, and ensuring the attacker doesn't get a +30% while attacking your keep. You can change this by clicking on a tower, and you should get a buttons with a shield and bubble icon (or something similar).

Do troops in the Stronghold transfer to the new player when an outpost of the previous player is captured?
