I don't generally complain but enough is enough. A ruby whale just hit the core of our outer realm alliance on a repeating rotation. Several of us built up and tried to retaliate. All of our armies retreated without a fight. This is just flat insulting.
I don't mind people that buy an advantage but being able to become invulnerable because you buy troops that most people can't afford to match? Only a psychotic or an emotional 2 year old would enjoy doing that. I'm pretty sure no one enjoys having that done to them.
I'm pretty much done with the outer realms after this and so are much of my alliance mates. Leave it to the ruby whales to have a spending contest.

That is why I did not join outer realms
daily duty has not been fixed and most likely will not be fixed and the lack of level protection makes the low level player just farm of the ruby whales.
I am no farm so did boycott the outer realms

While I am no fan of the way Ruby Buyers play (buy) the Outer Realms, I am not exactly sure how "Several" of you "built up and tried to retaliate". If THIS is your idea of "built up", I think I know why your armies retreated without a fight...…...

Dear Wasso the very first minute your bird flies you have `5 or more level 70 at your door, and be real, tell me how you can setup a defense strong enough to defend that power? Exactly buy rubies, get gold and buy 4000 defender and a casta and start smashing, there is simply no other option. the low levels can no way get enough troops on a casta and bounce on a higher level without a fight. You cannot even smash your troops on their walls.
very BIG thumbs down on outer realms. Ruby play .

Dearest Bummer, don't try to fight the level 70's. I never do. I have detailed multiple times how to play the Outer Realms as a NON-Buyer and still get decent rewards. I am again on pace for BOTH of my servers to get top 10000 rewards with very little effort.
On a side note: If you happen to end up in an area surrounded by level 70's, or even by level 40's who are buyers, just scout out an alternate site where there are fewer of them and MOVE there. I have done this on occasion when things get to hot where I am. As I tend to keep my heritage between 5k - 7.5k when all around me are less than 1k, if there are "Hunters" in the area, I am a target. So, I move. Fine a spot that has no castles with over 5k Heritage points, and use the free move.
As for the Daily Duties, that is so jacked up it is almost funny. Today I got in about 45 mins before point collection to get my count back to 5k....and the Daily Duties were blank. Figures. But, after a few castle hits, I checked again, and it was working! So, my first 3 castle hits didn't count, but those after that did. CRAZY...…...

I ended up next to misc who had people at level 70 within a day several times in outer realms easy solution endure first day and then move away to a better area and daily duties work but only in last 30 minuites before points are counted so it's pretty meaningless

For PvP one survive day 1 look for a good spot day 2 move there and then make maceman and wait for players to span check every 30 minutes or so if they got 5k heritage and are fresh send 1 wave deep maceman one each side and get the easy points of you do plan to buy try to buy vip points so you get vip commanders which makes farming easier, the PvP one is mostly farming new players / not playing players and having enough defenders to survive.
Building one is without buying pretty hard I suggest getting as many guardhouses level 2 as you can,if you plan to buy big get to level 70 and get the thorn dancer deco for 66k rubowa gives good points or if you only plan to buy small just going by quests will make you do ok as well and get wood 8 & stone 8 op's as close as possible and build production buildings there some p.o. some guardhouses and dwellings for the taxes and whack your robber Barrons &others towers if you have them, to get skips robber Barrons start giving skips level 3 or 5 Idk exactly which level anymore, it helps with building all the dwellings etc.

Well the event has ended, and I didn't get the daily duty rewards despite making the lvl 3 reward tier points. Not off a level, but zero this go around.....I was kind of looking forward to the relic gems. Oh well, I guess the gge answer will be the we warned you there would be no compensation statement. Silly me for thinking that they didn't do extra breakage to the daily duty after making the no compensation statement. So this time, not only was it blank most of the time(as usual), but it also didn't give any rewards that one still managed to scrape together.

Its bad advertisement for good games running broken events
the bet is on, three years, two years, one year or end of this year before empire closes due to lack of working events

Who cares if it runs or not. As long as it doesnt directly affect your main account it should be no problem. Just join and wait. I got top 25000 without doing anything and if I really wanted to I could've done better. Nothing better than getting 120 construction tokens and 1000 upgrade tokens for free.

@blueninja691 (US1) You are 100% correct! Those who try to play the Outer Realm as if it was designed like the main game, simply do not get it. It is an EVENT. Learn how to best utilize it. With minimal effort I ended in top 10,000 level again. 
The real problem is, the rewards are dangled and the addicts who play this game want the shiny object...…..

Just saying it shouldn't have run given that they(GGE) 'have a fix' that can be implemented in a week or two, but not in time for this last run. Bad public relations to run a broken event, especially if you've announced you have a fix that's a couple of weeks away but GGE seems to specialize in bad pr.
As for the event itself, I'm with you guys: Get what you can for the minimum of effort that you consider fun/worth it. The ruby/non ruby balance is way out of whack. The balance was much better before they closed the equipment loophole the stupid way that they did.

They COULD have taken the Daily Duties out and put the Daily Tasks back in. I found those useful. You could get troops, skips, coins and 100 Rubies to fund your main event activities.
Instead, we get the (BROKEN) opportunity to earn Relic gear and a few more Const/Upgrade tokens.
