Thanks for everything you've done al these years. You really gave us the feeling that you wanted to help us and helped us many times. You were there for us when we needed you. I understand that you want to go on and wish you much luck and happiness at your new job

Writing this is difficult, so please bear with me. It's been almost 3 years of adventures, discussion and debates with you guys, and today that journey comes to an end.
During the course of my vacation, I was left with time to consider the current situation with Goodgame Studios, the recent layoffs, and what the future has in store. It is with a heavy heart, that I have decided that the best move for me in the future, would be to step down from the position and leave the company.
This wasn't an easy decision to make, as through all the ups and downs that we've had, I've been honored to call this place my 'home', and working with all of you (yes, even you, you know who you folks are!) has been an absolute pleasure. I can only hope that you've enjoyed having me here as much as I've enjoyed being here, and that our times together will be remembered.
Actually, this was my first ever position as a Community Manager. After Malreyn stepped down and left control of the forums to me, I've learnt an incredible amount from all of you, and have always done my best to ensure that your voices are heard, and that you receive the information you want to receive. I know things haven't always been perfect, but I've always had you in my heart, and always will do.
GGS has given me a lot over the years, incredible friendships, great experiences, and the opportunity to work with all of you, but time waits for no man, and there's a world out there that needs exploring. Don't worry; Empire will live on, and you'll be in the amazing hands of Evoke. Rosie is a great friend of mine, and she'll do everything she can to help all of you, so please be kind to her. Of course, our forum angel Wicked will still be around to back Rosie up, which I'm very grateful for.
I'll leave this thread open and pop in over the next few days if any of you have anything you'd like to discuss with me via PM before you go, feel free to wing one my way.

Hi Steve,
It's sad to hear when a part of the family leaves us and it is more sad to bear it when someone as good as you leave a family. I donot have words to explain what i feel as one cannot describe their heart and emotions in words. I donot know who used to manage this community before you as when i started playing almost 2 years ago u used to be the one. U have helped me in every possible way u could have. I too have quited and tried to forget this family but i couldn't and i came back. I only wish u best in the future and hope the future hopes the best for you. In the end i would only say this that i hope u come back as a player to join GGE.

Although it is sad to see you go I wish you the best of luck in life.
You were an excellent, perhaps the best CM I've seen, you valued our feedback and ideas and participated in discussions, even though others did not care for it.

Goodbye and good luck Steve, Wishing you all the best for your future outside the GGE forum. Hopefully you will find time, in your busy new life, to pop back and join us occasionally. Though I could certainly understand if you never wanted to hear the name "good game empire" mentioned ever again. hahaha.

Anyways, You were the first CM I ever met, and you're an amazing CM, you were always kind and considerate and always treated everyone fairly, I cannot speak for everyone else, But I will miss you

Wow that's a bit harsh there Fexy. Steve was doing his job at the end of the day and you can't make that personal. Personally, I think he did everything within his remit to help us out and I respect and like him for that.

Just to say thanks for all the advice and support Steve. You were always positive, helpful and retained your sense of perspective under what I imagine were often more difficult circumstances than we would realise. I think you went the extra mile despite the limitations of your role and leave a positive legacy for the next incumbent to build on. The video update introductions were really good. Thanks for listening and using what you learnt and best of luck what whereever the future takes you. You definitely make the Hall of Legends from my perspective.
