 I might misunderstood what are you trying to say in here. Are you saying the SS M/R def power value may change? Meaning, say for the M Shapeshifter their M/R def power may not be always 124/52? Basically it changes depends on the actual composition of the actual troops? If this is the case, it might works (not perfectly ideal as most of the time there will still be rounding no matter what, but I think it won't matter much) IF AND ONLY IF the averaging calculation is strictly per wall sections and CY. Meaning M SS on left the displayed M/R def power are purely based on the actual composition of the troops on left wall ONLY, and it may be different value then the rest of the wall and/or CY. However if the M/R determination on based on ALL troops in the castle collectively, then NO WAY (I have posted this scenario on earlier responses on why it's not gonna work).
You got it.  I'm wondering if they might adjust the melee and ranged values of their shapeshifters for each castle separately.   So in the first one, you might see 1,500 or so melee shapeshifters with 152m and 62r strength each.  On the second castle attack, there might be 2,980 melee shapeshifters with 153m and 59r each.

Anyway, that's how I would do it.  I wouldn't worry about rounding, f there's rounding it would not be enough to affect what type of attack you send.

And... there's no worries about left wall versus right wall versus courtyard, since we're talking about the base troop stats, not the combined strength of them on a wall.  Just like it currently is, you adjust the other bonuses afterward.

Just don't forget that if the defender adjusts their defense it will throw your expectations out the window.  It'll be good for getting a general idea of what relative strength they started out with though, without giving away who the player is.

Because it's possible the castle has much weaker troops in CY that will bring the average calculation down, and not reflecting the actual power on each wall section as the actual troops on the wall might be much stronger. Ex. castle has 320 vet swords in the wall and 500 archer in the cy. If the calculation of the average is done on the whole castle, then what we see in the spy report would be much lower value that the actual troops strength on the wall.

However from @BM ang1243 statement, I highly doubt this is the case. His statement pretty much indicate the def. power of SS troops are fixed. He doesn't evenwiglema question on how x amount of archer will looks like (as archer has different M/D def. power ratio significantly then most of other troops type).

If the def adjust the formation, it's out of the scope of my concern.

Do you people not realize that all legit players competing in the ranking will leave their castle empty just like real PVP glory events. There is no reason to give anyone your competing with, points against you and your ranking. You get no troop loss, no d tool loss, no loot loss, and no fire... so why would i leave troops there to give someone free points??? Nothing happens to me either way and denying points to my competition isnt just smart. Its the only intelligent way to play an event like this. Which means its broken in the exact same way as pvp and your gonna be hitting fire cast style tool clearing. This is the dumbest thing ive ever heard and will not work at all. Even with a certain points amount for empty castle it wont work. Everyone will get the same BS minimum amount. Defending with any troops will increase amount attackers gets points wise and is still a reason to leave empty toolburn. The ONLY thing this changes is eliminating cry mail from PVP attacks. 
You haven't probably tried that in test server, attacker gets a lot points if there is just empty castle. you are talking about the point counting but clearly you have no idea how it really works.

sry sir haba but i do know how it works. i watched a player in our alliance hit an empty and a full shapeshifter and got the same 4 tokens and about 20 more of whatever the glory number means. Was basically no difference and the empty one was a tiny bit less productive. ill go with wiping peoples money tools and flags and laughing at the idiots that play this garbage.

It's moot now that the test server shows us they're not doing anything remotely close to it.

It was fun getting sucked into the theorizing though :)

if you put 1 defender on all places in defende you wipe max150 tools, but if you defend 1 flank, and win that, its max300 tools. You cant put flags on shapeshifter attacks :) 

edit: and as you just told if you leave empty castle the attackers gets more points than what he would if you defend, so whats your point for leaving empty castle, and of course you have to move all your units to somewhere and after move them back, and there is no point of doing that.

It's great for trying new things out defensively at no risk.

And I suppose it's good if you're afraid of pvp but would like to try getting decent at it without fear of retaliation.  Foreigners and Blood Crows are kind of a joke since they're all templates.

For normal pvp players though, this is just another event in a long line of GoodGameEventing, but with a unique twist.

Whats the point of playing the game, it's one event and you try to get the prizes from that, I'm waiting to see what kinds of comms and castellans there is in the shop.

Maybe stillfront can convince gge not to screw it up and hopefilly they come with better ideas then gge. I am positive that stillfront is good for us cause it cant get any worse then it is now

High might doesn't mean you're good

You can have 1M MP and still be garbage at pvp

So after a few hours in Test Server....I don't completely hate this.  It looks like GGE put a lot of creative effort into the design, it's....interesting.

A couple unfiltered thoughts:
1. The rewards.  STINGY.  I see sacks of construction materials, and a decent PO piece.  To quote Dom DeLuise's Nero in History of The World...."Nice.  Nice.  Not THRILLING....but Nice."     GGE, this needs work.
2. I like the trade-offs with Easy Mode, minor payoffs, and Hardcore Mode, with the Multiplier.  For those not happy with the PvE-heavy feel (see comments, lot of 'em) I agree, but I think a lot of players will gravitate to the Hardcore Mode to get the better payoffs, and that will erase some of your gripes.
3. Did I mention the rewards?  OK, just in case Thought #1 didn't sink in: The rewards are going to kill this event if you, GGE, don't fix them.  Seriously.  I can get Public Order.  I can get Fine Sand.  Put some skin in the game and take a second look at the REWARDS.  If you do, I promise, the players will respond and this will be a success.
